Pectusin is a herbal medicine with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Release form and composition

The drug is available in the form of tablets for resorption weighing 800 mg: flat-cylindrical, round, from white to white-yellowish color (inclusions of a darker or lighter color are allowed), with a bevel and a risk, a specific menthol and eucalyptus smell, a sweet-mint cooling taste (10 tablets in blisters, 2, 3 or 5 packs in cardboard boxes).

Active substances contained in 1 tablet:

  • L-menthol (levomenthol) - 4 mg;
  • Eucalyptus oil - 0.5 mg.

Additional components: powdered sugar (sucrose), calcium stearate, purified talc, sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (sodium carmellose), microcrystalline cellulose.

Indications for use

Pectusin is used in the complex therapy of diseases of the upper respiratory tract of an inflammatory nature, including pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, etc.

Contraindications

  • Stenosing laryngitis;
  • Bronchial asthma;
  • Diabetes;
  • Spasmophilia;
  • Deficiency of sucrase / isomaltase, glucose-galactose malabsorption, fructose intolerance;
  • Age under 8;
  • Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

Method of administration and dosage

Pectusin is a topical preparation: it should be kept in the mouth until the tablet is completely dissolved. Do not chew!
