Release form and composition
Venitan forte is produced in the form of a gel for external use: a transparent homogeneous mass, slightly opalescent or colorless (50 g each in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube).
1 g of gel contains:
- active ingredients: amorphous beta-escin - 10 mg, sodium heparin - 100 IU (international unit), which is equivalent to 0.714 mg;
- auxiliary components: sodium hydroxide, dexpanthenol, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, powder allantoin, simethicone emulsion, carboxypolymethylparagyen (carbopol 934 P), propylene glycol, purified water.

Venitan forte is a drug for external use, the combined composition of which provides it with venotonic, anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory effect.
Heparin is a substance that prevents blood clotting, helps to reduce thrombus formation in blood vessels, and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Escin is an amorphous mixture of triterpene saponins found in horse chestnut seeds. Basically, its anti-inflammatory effect is manifested at the beginning of the inflammatory response. Its mechanism of action is aimed at sealing the walls of the capillaries, thus, reducing their increased permeability during inflammation and preventing the fragility of the walls of the capillaries. In addition, escin has a positive effect on the tone of the venous walls, increasing it when weakened. Its action prevents the accumulation of fluid in the tissues and the appearance of edema, since stagnation in the venous bed is significantly reduced.
The absorption of active substances through the skin is improved by dexpanthenol and allantoin, enhancing the therapeutic effect of the drug.
Indications for use
- phlebeurysm;
- thrombophlebitis of superficial veins;
- venous insufficiency, manifested by pain and a feeling of heaviness in the legs, cramps in the calf muscles at night, itchy skin, swelling of the legs;
- bruises, swelling of soft tissues, post-traumatic hematomas, sprains.
Contraindications
According to the instructions, Venitan forte should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to its components.

The gel is intended for external use.
After applying a thin layer of gel to the skin in the affected area, it should be rubbed gently, capturing the adjacent areas of the body. It is recommended to apply the gel in small portions, gradually rubbing in the amount corresponding to a single dose of the drug.
Do not use Venitan forte gel for the treatment of venous diseases of inflammatory etiology.
When treating trophic leg ulcers, the gel should be applied only to the edges of the ulcer in order to improve the impaired blood circulation. Care must be taken to avoid getting it directly on the surface of the ulcer.
When treating varicose veins of the lower extremities, after applying the gel, you should use an elastic bandage or wear special tightening stockings.
Recommended frequency of procedures: 1-3 times a day.

In some cases, against the background of the use of Venitana Forte gel, the development of allergic reactions in the form of urticaria, skin itching, and rash is possible.
