Release form and composition

The dosage form of Troxevasin Neo is a gel for external use: a transparent or almost transparent yellowish-greenish-yellow mass (40 g each in aluminum / laminate tubes or 100 g each in laminated tubes; in a cardboard box 1 tube).

Composition for 1 g of gel:

• active substances: sodium heparin - 1.7 mg (equivalent to 300 ME); dexpanthenol - 50 mg; troxerutin - 20 mg;
• auxiliary components: propylene glycol, carbomer, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, trolamine, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

Troxevasin Neo is a gel for external use containing the following active components, the combination of which determines its therapeutic effect:

• heparin is a natural antithrombotic factor produced by the body that prevents blood clotting, a direct anticoagulant. Improving the fibrinolytic properties of blood, enhances local blood flow and prevents thrombus formation; has an anti-inflammatory effect; inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase, promotes the restoration of connective tissue;
• dexpanthenol (provitamin B ₅) - in the skin it is transformed into pantothenic acid, which is part of coenzyme A (KoA), which plays an important role in acetylation and oxidation reactions. Improves metabolic processes, promoting the regeneration of damaged tissues, and enhances the absorption of heparin;
• troxerutin is a flavonoid with an angioprotective effect with P-vitamin activity. It has venotonic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, anticoagulant, venoprotective and antioxidant effects; reduces fragility and permeability of capillaries, thereby increasing their tone; helps to increase the density of the vascular wall; normalizes microcirculation and tissue trophism; reduces congestion.

When applied topically, the active substances of Troxevasin Neo gel are quickly absorbed by the skin.

Pharmacokinetic characteristics:

• heparin - accumulates in the upper layers of the skin and actively binds to its proteins; a small amount of heparin enters the systemic circulation, does not have a systemic effect, does not cause any changes in blood coagulation parameters; does not penetrate the placental barrier;
• dexpanthenol - penetrates into all layers of the skin, transforming into pantothenic acid; entering the systemic circulation binds to blood plasma proteins (mainly albumin and β-globulin); not metabolized by the body, excreted unchanged;
• troxerutin - after 30 minutes it penetrates into the dermis, and after 2-5 hours - into the subcutaneous tissue; the amount of a substance that penetrates the systemic circulation does not have a clinical effect.

Indications for use

• CVI (chronic venous insufficiency), manifested by swelling and pain in the legs; a feeling of fullness, heaviness, tiredness of the legs; telangiectasia (spider veins and reticulum); convulsions and paresthesias;
• varicose veins;
• periphlebitis;
• thrombophlebitis;
• varicose dermatitis;
• pains of a traumatic nature (bruises, sprains, trauma) and post-traumatic edema.

Contraindications

• open infected wound surfaces or wounds with abundant exudate at the site of application;
• age under 18;
• individual hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

Instructions for use of Troxevasin Neo: method and dosage

Gel Troxevasin Neo is intended for external use. The drug is applied to the affected area with a thin layer, evenly distributed with light rubbing movements over the skin surface until it is completely absorbed.

Recommended dosage: 2 times a day, in the morning and evening.

If necessary, it is allowed to apply the gel under elastic bandages or stockings.

To a large extent, the success of drug therapy depends on the regularity of its use over an extended period of time. The recommended course of treatment is 2 to 3 weeks. The need for further therapy is determined by the attending physician.
