Tyramine is a biologically active additive (BAA), a source of polypeptides and nucleic acids; a drug that improves the functioning of the thyroid gland and normalizes energy metabolism.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - enteric-coated tablets weighing 155 and 355 mg (20 pcs in a blister, 2 blisters in a cardboard box; 20 pcs in vials, 2 vials in a package).
Active substance: tyramine powder (a complex of polypeptides and nucleic acids obtained from the thyroid glands of cattle), containing the following biologically active substances:
- Vitamins: riboflavin (B 2), niacin (PP), thiamine (B 1), alpha-tocopherol (E), retinol (A);
- minerals: aluminum, cobalt, copper, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, sulfur, zinc, lead, cadmium;
- amino acids: aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, proline, glycine, alanine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, histidine, lysine, arginine.
Additional components: potato starch, methylcellulose, calcium stearate, sucrose (lactose), enteric coating.
Component properties
The active substance of the supplement is extracted from the thyroid glands of cattle and is a complex of nucleoproteins and proteins that have a selective effect on the cells of the thyroid gland, contributing to the restoration of its functional and organic properties. So, tyramine powder:
- improves the metabolism of thyroid cells and, as a result, normalizes the production of thyroid hormones, which has a positive effect on all metabolic processes of the body as a whole;
- accelerates the restoration of the functional state of the thyroid gland after extreme stress loads and after surgical interventions.
Indications for use
Tyramine is used as a dietary supplement for various disorders of the thyroid gland, including in the following cases:
- autoimmune thyroiditis;
- hyper- and hypofunction of the thyroid gland;
- endemic goiter;
- states after extreme stress loads;
- pre- and postoperative periods in operations on the thyroid gland;
- tumor processes in the glandular tissue.
As a prophylactic agent, dietary supplements are recommended to be taken by residents of areas endemic for thyroid diseases, as well as elderly people (over 65 years of age) to maintain the function of the thyroid gland.
Contraindications

Recommendations for use
Tyramine should be taken by mouth 10-15 minutes before meals, swallowing tablets whole and drinking plenty of water.
