Reamberin is a detoxifying agent with antioxidant and antihypoxic action for parenteral use.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - solution for infusion 1.5%: colorless, transparent (in bottles of 100, 200 and 400 ml, in a carton pack 1 bottle; in polymer containers of 250 and 500 ml, in a carton pack 20 or 32 containers (for hospitals)).

1 ml of Reamberin solution contains:

• Active ingredient: sodium meglumine succinate - 15 mg, including N-methylglucamine (meglumine) - 8.725 mg, succinic acid - 5.280 mg;
• Auxiliary components: magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, water for injection.

Indications for use

Reamberin is used as a detoxification and antihypoxic agent for acute exogenous and endogenous intoxications of various etiologies.

Contraindications

• Severe renal dysfunction;
• Conditions after traumatic brain injury, accompanied by cerebral edema;
• Pregnancy and lactation period;
• Children under 1 year old;
• Individual hypersensitivity to any component of Reamberin.

The solution is used with caution in alkalosis.

Method of administration and dosage

Reamberin is administered intravenously.

The dosage and rate of administration of the drug are determined individually, depending on the severity of the condition.

Recommended doses:

• Adults - in a volume of 400-800 ml per day at a rate of no more than 90 drops per minute (1-4.5 ml / minute);
• Children over 1 year old - in a volume of 6-10 ml / kg, but not more than 400 ml, once a day at a rate of 3-4 ml per minute.

The duration of the course is determined by the doctor. The maximum duration of treatment is 11 days.

Side effects

With the rapid introduction of Reamberin, the following undesirable reactions are possible:

• From the respiratory system: dry cough, shortness of breath;
• From the immune system: allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock, angioedema;
• From the side of the cardiovascular system: shortness of breath, pain in the chest and heart area, heart palpitations, arterial hypotension / hypertension, tachycardia, short-term burning sensation and redness of the upper body;
• From the gastrointestinal tract: metallic taste in the mouth, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting;
• From the nervous system: paresthesia, headache, anxiety, dizziness, agitation, tremors, convulsions;
• On the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue: urticaria, itching, allergic rash;
• General disorders: sweating, chills, weakness, hyperthermia;
• Reactions at the injection site: pain, hyperemia, edema, phlebitis.

In the event of adverse reactions, the rate of administration of Reamberin should be reduced.

Due to the activation of aerobic processes in the body during treatment with the drug, alkalization of urine and blood is possible, as well as a decrease in the concentration of glucose in the blood.

In case of color change or precipitation, use of the solution is prohibited.

If necessary, Reamberin can be used simultaneously with glucose solution, water-soluble vitamins and antibacterial drugs.
