Release form and composition
Dosage form - syrup: transparent or slightly opalescent, reddish brown; may contain sediment (100 ml each in glass bottles with a lid equipped with a first opening control and protection from children, in a cardboard box instructions for use of Lazolvan PHYTO and 1 bottle complete with a measuring cup; 5 ml each in mini-bags made of aluminum foil, in a cardboard box, instructions for medical use of the drug and 8 or 20 mini-packages).
Composition of syrup per ml (1.26 g):
- active substance: herb thyme extract liquid * - 150 mg (extractant: ammonia solution 10%, glycerin 85%, ethyl alcohol 90%, water - in a ratio of 1: 20: 70: 109);
- auxiliary components: liquid glucose, sodium benzoate, rose oil, citric acid monohydrate, sucrose solution 67%, invert syrup 74/95, concentrated cherry juice, honey flavor, purified water.

Pharmacological properties
Lazolvan PHYTO is a drug with expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator and antimicrobial action. Reduces the viscosity of phlegm and accelerates its discharge.
Indications for use
Lazolvan PHYTO is used in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with difficult sputum discharge.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- severe liver / kidney dysfunction;
- decompensated chronic heart failure;
- deficiency of enzymes sucrase and isomaltase;
- glucose-fructose malabsorption;
- congenital fructose intolerance;
- alcoholism (due to the presence of alcohol in the drug);
- period of pregnancy and lactation;
- children's age up to 6 months;
- hypersensitivity to thyme or another plant of the Lamiaceae family, hypersensitivity to any auxiliary component of the syrup.
Relative (Lazolvan PHYTO syrup should be used with caution):
- liver disease;
- epilepsy;
- brain injuries and diseases;
- children's age from 6 months to 4 years.

Lazolvan PHYTO should be taken orally after meals. Due to the possible formation of a sediment in the syrup, shake the bottle thoroughly or knead a mini-bag between your fingers before taking it.
If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage regimen, the drug should be taken in the following doses:
- adults and adolescents from 12 years old: 10 ml of syrup (2 teaspoons or 2 mini-packages) 3 times a day;
- children 6–12 years old: 5 ml (1 tsp or 1 sachet) 3 times a day;
- children 2–5 years old: 5 ml 2 times a day;
- children 1-2 years old: 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) 3 times a day;
- children 6-12 months: 2.5 ml 2 times a day.
It is recommended to take the drug at regular intervals throughout the day.
The duration of treatment is determined individually, depending on the type and severity of the disease.
Side effects
Lazolvan PHYTO is generally well tolerated. There are limited data on the development of some side effects, the frequency of which cannot be determined. These include:
- phenomena from the digestive system: dyspeptic disorders, gastritis;
- disorders of the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic shock;
- skin reactions: rash, urticaria, angioedema.
