Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Grammidin with neo anesthetic is a unique combination drug effective in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases localized in the mouth and throat.
The preparation contains as active substances: gramicidin C - an antibiotic of the tyrothricin group; oxybuprocaine - a local anesthetic; cetylpyridinium chloride is an antiseptic.
The mechanism of action of Grammidin with the neo anesthetic is due to the pharmacological activity of its main components:
- gramicidin C: increases the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbe cell, disrupting its resistance and leading to death. It has a pronounced antimicrobial activity against pathogenic microflora of the oral cavity and throat;
- oxybuprocaine: has a local anesthetic effect on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. Reversibly blocks the propagation and conduction of nerve impulses by the axons of nerve cells;
- cetylpyridinium chloride: has an antimicrobial effect, due to which it inhibits growth and suppresses the reproduction of causative agents of infectious diseases of the oral cavity.
Grammidin with neo anesthetic has an analgesic effect, reduces inflammation, and exhibits antimicrobial activity. When resorbed, the tablets facilitate swallowing, soften perspiration and relieve sore throat, increase the secretion of the salivary glands, as a result of which the abundant secretion of saliva in the oral cavity enhances its mechanical cleansing from pathogens.
