Anatomy
Anatomy (anatomia; lat. Anatomia from the Greek. Anatome - dismemberment, dissection) is a biomedical science that studies the structure and shape of the human body and animals, as well as its constituent organs in connection with their development and function; is part of morphology.
The following types of anatomy are distinguished:
- Age - one of the sections of anatomy that studies the patterns of age-related changes in the shape and structure of the body and its organs;
- Dynamic - one of the sections of anatomy that studies the movements of the human body and the morphological changes occurring in the body; the results of dynamic anatomy are used in sports medicine;
- Plastic - one of the sections of anatomy dedicated to the dynamics and statics of the external forms of the body, mainly for understanding their expressiveness; plastic anatomy is of applied importance for the fine arts;
- X-ray (synonym: X-ray anatomy) - one of the sections of anatomy, based on the use of X-ray research methods;
- Systematic - the study and description of the structure, shape and location of organs by systems;
- Comparative (comparativa) - the study of the patterns of development and structure of organisms and their organs by means of comparison in animals of different taxonomic groups; comparative anatomy allows you to find out the history of the development of the human body;
- Topographic (topographica) - the study of the structure, shape and relationship of organs by areas of the body; in topographic anatomy, special attention is paid to the mutual spatial arrangement of anatomical structures;
- Surgical (chirurgica) - the study of the structure of the human body based on the requests of surgery, mainly to substantiate surgical techniques and approaches.
