Apilak is a biogenic stimulant, a drug with a tonic effect. The main substance of this drug is apilac, which is a lyophilized (vacuum-dried at low temperature) royal jelly produced by the glands of worker bees. Apilak has a tonic, antispastic (relieves spasms) and trophic effects (affects the absorption of nutrients by tissues). The drug has a positive effect on regenerative processes and cell metabolism, and also improves tissue trophism.
Apilak is a kind of complex of biologically active substances, which includes vitamins (C, B 12, B 8, B 6, B 5, B 2, B 1, H, inositol, folic acid), mineral elements (potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron), 23 amino acids, including such essential ones as valine, tryptophan, histidine, methionine, as well as other biologically active substances.

Apilak instructions for use
Apilak is available in the form of powder, ointment, tablets and suppositories. For children, this drug is prescribed in the form of suppositories, which must be used within one to two weeks. Depending on the amount of active substance in the suppository, ½ or 1 suppository (2.5 mg-5 mg) is prescribed three times a day.
For children over two years old, the drug can be prescribed in the form of tablets - 1 pc. twice a day.
Adults are recommended to take Apilak tablets for 10-15 days. A single dose is 10 mg (1 table), which should be taken three times a day. The tablets should be placed under the tongue and should not be taken orally, as gastric juice decomposes royal jelly.
Apilak ointment is applied in a thin layer (2-10 g) to the damaged surface, this procedure must be done once or twice a day. The course of treatment can last from one week to two months.
Contraindications
The instructions for Apilak indicate that it is unacceptable to use the drug in Addison's disease (adrenal dysfunction), as well as in hereditary hypersensitivity to Apilak or other beekeeping products.
