Aqualor forte is a drug for intranasal administration, used for rhinitis and severe nasal congestion in children and adults.

Release form and composition

Aqualor Forte is produced in the form of a nasal spray for irrigation and rinsing of the nasal cavity: a colorless transparent liquid with a salty taste, odorless (125 or 150 ml in a metal pressure vessel, with an antiseptic inner coating and an anatomical nozzle for the nose with a spray in the form of a shower, in complete with a plastic cap, in a cardboard box 1 bottle).

Spray composition (per 100 ml): natural sterile sea water with hypertonic salt concentration (NaCl) 19–23 g / l - 70–77 ml; purified water - up to 100 ml.

The drug includes all trace elements and active substances of seawater, including sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), iodine (I), selenium (Se), chlorine (Cl), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), etc.

Aqualor forte has the following properties:

• intensively washing all parts of the nasopharynx and nasal cavity, moisturizes their mucous membrane and removes viruses, bacteria, allergens, dust, crusts and excess mucus;
• enhances local immunity;
• helps to accelerate the processes of regeneration of the nasopharyngeal mucosa and nasal cavity;
• activates the protective effect of the ciliated epithelium, ensures the maintenance of the normal physiological state of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx;
• increases the therapeutic effect and weakens the side reactions of drugs applied to the nasal mucosa (antibiotics, vasoconstrictors, antiallergic drugs) helps to reduce the duration of respiratory diseases, reduces the likelihood of infection penetrating the paranasal sinuses, as well as the ear cavity.

Indications for use

The tool is intended for individual use and use in medical institutions.

According to the instructions, Aqualor Forte is recommended for children over 1 year old and adults for the prevention and complex treatment of acute and chronic forms of inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses (infectious, allergic and atrophic), which include:

Instructions for use Aqualor forte: method and dosage

Aqualor Forte is used intranasally. When carrying out complex therapy, irrigation of the nasal cavity is recommended to be performed 4–6 times a day, for the purposes of daily hygiene and prophylaxis - 2–3 times a day. The duration of use is not limited.

When carrying out the procedure, children over 2 years old and adults should, tilting their head to one side, insert the tip of the balloon into the nostril located on top. The nasal cavity must be rinsed for a few seconds, and then blow your nose. The procedure is carried out in a similar way with a different nasal passage. Re-introduction is possible if necessary.

Children under 2 years of age are advised to perform this procedure in the supine position, turning their head to one side and injecting the drug into the nasal passage located on top. After irrigation, lasting 1-2 seconds, the child should be seated and helped to blow his nose or remove the remains of the used solution with an aspirator. The procedure can be repeated if necessary.
