Aqua Maris Strong is a natural preparation from the water of the Adriatic Sea; relieves nasal congestion by moisturizing the nasal mucosa and facilitating the removal of secretions.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - nasal spray: colorless transparent solution with a weak characteristic odor [30 ml (200 doses) in dark glass vials equipped with a spray device; in a pack of cardboard 1 bottle and instructions for use of Aqua Maris Strong].

Composition of sterile hypertonic solution (water of the Adriatic Sea 100%):

• sodium (Na ⁺) - not less than 7.5 mg / ml;
• magnesium (Mg ²⁺) - not less than 1 mg / ml;
• potassium (K ⁺) - not less than 0.2 mg / ml;
• calcium (Ca ²⁺) - not less than 0.25 mg / ml;

Nasal spray Aqua Maris Strong is a sterile hypertonic solution of sea water. Due to the difference in osmotic pressure, it removes excess fluid from the intercellular space, thereby reducing the edema of the nasal mucosa.

The drug is used for inflammation of the nose, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx to facilitate nasal breathing by eliminating mucosal edema.

Aqua Maris Strong enhances local immunity, has a local antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect.

Trace elements in the water of the Adriatic Sea help to improve the function of the ciliated epithelium, they have a cleansing, restorative, stimulating and anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, thus increasing its resistance to pathogenic microorganisms.

Pharmacological action of the components of the solution:

• calcium and magnesium ions: have a stimulating effect on the ciliated activity of the ciliated epithelium of the mucous membrane, which promotes the evacuation of pathogenic microflora and foreign particles from the nasal cavity, restore the rheological properties of nasal mucus;
• sodium ions, iodine, chloride ions: have antiseptic efficacy, activate the production of protective mucus;
