Echinacin liquidum is a herbal preparation, the active substance of which is the juice of the herb Echinacea purpurea, which has immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory effects.
The mechanism of action of the drug is due to the following properties of the herb Echinacea purpurea:
- increased phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages;
- induction of transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells;
- stimulation of interleukin-1 production;
- strengthening the function of T-helpers;
- stimulation of bone marrow hematopoiesis, which helps to increase the number of leukocytes and cells of the reticulo-endothelial system.
Indications for use
The use of Echinacin liquidum is shown as a prophylaxis of acute respiratory viral infections.
In addition, the drug is recommended for administration as part of the complex therapy of the following pathologies:
- acute and chronic recurrent infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract;
- urinary tract infections (acute or chronic recurrent form);
