Release form and composition
Dosage forms of Motherwort herb:
- grass-powder: ground vegetable raw materials passing through a sieve with a hole diameter of 2 mm (1.5 g each in filter bags, in a cardboard box 10, 20, 24 or 30 pcs.);
- crushed vegetable raw materials or crushed grass: in the form of crushed particles (up to 7 mm) of stems, leaves, peduncles, motherwort inflorescences, has a weak characteristic odor; the color of the mixture is from grayish to brownish green with numerous grayish white, yellowish white, whitish, grayish pink, pinkish purple blotches; the taste of water extraction is bitter (20, 35, 40, 50, 75 or 100 g each in a cardboard box with an inner bag made of polypropylene, aluminum foil or paper with or without a heat-sealable polypropylene / polyethylene layer).

Motherwort herb contains essential oils, tannins, flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, hyperoside, etc.), saponins, iridoids, vitamin C, carotene, macro- and microelements, and other biologically active substances. Thanks to this composition, the infusion of the plant's raw materials has a pronounced sedative efficacy and hypotensive effect, slowing down the rhythm and increasing the force of heart contractions.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Motherwort herb is recommended to be used as a sedative for sleep disorders, increased nervous excitability, neurocirculatory dystonia, neurasthenia.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- period of pregnancy;
- children under 12 years of age;
- hypersensitivity to motherwort drugs.
Relative (use with caution): lactation period.
Instructions for the use of Motherwort herb: method and dosage
Infusion of Motherwort herb is intended for oral administration.
Recommended dosage: 1 / 2 (100 mL) cups, in the form of heat for an hour before a meal, 3 times a day. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Preparation of infusion:
- filter bags: 2 pcs. (3 g) was placed in a glass / enamel ware, pour 1 / 2 cups (100 ml) boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes. Squeeze out the contents of the filter bags, bring the volume of the resulting infusion to 100 ml with boiled water;
- chopped vegetable raw materials or chopped grass: place 2 tablespoons (9 g) of herbs in an enamel bowl, pour 1 glass (200 ml) of hot boiled water, cover and heat in a boiling water bath, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze out the remaining raw materials, bring the volume of the resulting infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.
