Stomatofit is a local combined herbal preparation with anti-inflammatory, emollient and astringent effects, used in dentistry.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - extract for topical use (liquid): brown, has a characteristic odor, during storage a slight sediment and turbidity may form (45, 50, 100 or 120 ml each in dark glass bottles, in a cardboard box 1 bottle with a measuring cup in set).
Active substances in the composition of 100 mg of extract (extraction of a mixture of plant materials with 70% ethyl alcohol in a ratio of 65/100):
- arnica herb - 6.5 mg;
- calamus rhizomes - 6.5 mg;
- peppermint leaves - 6.5 mg;
- sage leaves - 13 mg;
- oak bark - 13 mg;
- common thyme herb - 6.5 mg;
- chamomile flowers - 13 mg.

Pharmacodynamics
According to the instructions, Stomatofit has an anti-inflammatory, emollient, astringent effect on the oral mucosa, which is ensured by the content of extracts of oak bark, chamomile flowers and sage leaves.
In addition, the essential oils and tannins contained in the preparation have an antiseptic (antifungal and antibacterial) effect on the mucous membrane of the mouth and gums.
Indications for use
- deep / superficial periodontitis;
- serous-purulent inflammation of the mouth and gums;
- periodontal disease, a tendency to develop bleeding gums;
- serous inflammation of the tongue;
- fungal inflammation of the oral mucosa caused by yeast;
- zoonotic inflammation of the oral cavity.
Contraindications
A contraindication to the use of Stomatofit is the presence of an individual intolerance to its components.
Instructions for use of Stomatofit: method and dosage
The drug is used topically.
To obtain a solution for rinsing the mouth, 7.5 ml of the drug must be diluted in ¼ glass (50 ml) of boiled warm water.
The procedure is carried out 3-4 times a day for a course of 10 to 15 days. Reapplication is possible as directed by a doctor.
Side effects
During the period of therapy, allergic reactions may develop.

No overdose has been reported.
