Stimforte is an immunostimulating drug of animal origin.
Release form and composition

Stimforte is an immunostimulating drug, the action of which is due to the activation of various links of immunity, including the production of cytokines.
Stimforte is a water extract from the organs and tissues of snakes. The filtrate of an aqueous solution includes a complex of biologically active substances - homooligomers of carbohydrates and polyesters with a molecular weight of 1500 to 1800 Da (daltons), containing 3-NH2 and -CSC groups, having at least two ether bonds and manifested biological activity in relation to the formation of oxygen radicals in the blood at least 75% of the biological effectiveness of formylpeptide.
The action of the drug helps to increase the functional activity of NK cells and phagocytosis in macrophages by 1.5–2.5 times, increasing their cytotoxic properties. Induces the formation of interferon gamma, interleukin-1, interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor alpha. Stimforte potentiates an increase in the number of lymphocytes, neutrophils and monocytes. Activates monocytes. In addition, the effect of the drug on the nonspecific enhancement of antiviral immunity was established.
Pharmacokinetics
After the intramuscular injection of the drug solution, the half-distribution period of Stimforte is 0.5 hours.
The half-life is 24 hours.
It is excreted through the kidneys and lungs as metabolites.
It does not accumulate in the body.
Indications for use
The use of Stimforte is indicated in the complex therapy of the following secondary immunodeficiency states in the stage of exacerbation and remission, which are caused by acute and chronic bacterial or viral infections:
- recurrent furunculosis;
- genital herpes;
- moderate acute hepatitis B;
- stage of exacerbation of chronic viral hepatitis B.
Contraindications
- autoimmune diseases;
- period of pregnancy;
- breast-feeding;
- age up to 18 years;
- individual hypersensitivity to the drug.
Stimforte, instructions for use: method and dosage
The ready-made solution from Stimforte lyophilisate is administered by intramuscular injection.
The drug is prepared immediately before the procedure, using 0.9% sodium chloride solution in a proportion of 1 mg ÷ 1 ml to dissolve the lyophilisate. Namely, for 3 mg of lyophilisate, 3 ml of solvent is needed, for 6 mg - 6 ml.
The recommended treatment regimen (as part of complex therapy):
- recurrent furunculosis or genital herpes: 4 injections with an interval between procedures 3 days - the first dose of 0.75 mg, then 1.5 mg each. If necessary, it is allowed to increase a single dose by 2 times (the first dose is 1.5 mg, the second, third and fourth - 3 mg each) with an interval of 3 days;
- moderate acute B, chronic hepatitis, exacerbation of chronic viral hepatitis B: 4 injections according to the following scheme - the first dose of 1.5 mg, after 3 days - 1.5 mg, after a break of 7 days - 3 mg, after 3 days - 3 mg.
If necessary, after 14 days, the course of treatment can be repeated.
Side effects
- local reactions: possibly - transient hyperemia and soreness at the injection site;
- others: possibly - headache, a short rise in body temperature to subfebrile (37.1-38 ° C) values.
Overdose
Overdose symptoms have not been established.
