Release form and composition

Dosage form: capsules No. 0 gelatinous solid light brown, containing powder from orange-brown to light brown interspersed with a lighter shade (10 pieces in blisters, in a cardboard box of 3 or 10 blisters).

Content of active ingredients in 1 capsule:

  • Herb smoky medicinal in the form of dry extract - 275.1 mg, including protopin - 4.13 mg;
  • Milk thistle fruits in the form of a dry extract - 83.1 mg, including silymarin - 50 mg, with a silybinin content of at least 22 mg.

Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, copolyvidone, macrogol 6000, silicon dioxide, talc.

After oral administration, the flavonoids that are part of silymarin are excreted mainly in the bile and are involved in the processes of intestinal-hepatic recirculation.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Gepabene is used as part of the complex therapy of the following diseases:

  • Chronic toxic liver damage;
  • Dyskinesia of the biliary tract, including after resection of the gallbladder;
  • Chronic hepatitis.

Contraindications

  • The period of exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of the biliary tract and liver;
  • Age under 18;
