Release form and composition

Dosage form - sterile aqueous solution (10 ml in original plastic containers, 1 container in a cardboard box).

Composition of 1 ml of the preparation:

• active substance: povidone - 20 mg;
• auxiliary components: water, sodium citrate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, anhydrous citric acid.

Pharmacological properties

The VID-CHEST medical device is a sterile aqueous solution of 2% povidone in its original container (“CHEST” system).

The drug does not contain preservatives, does not build up on the lens surface.

An aqueous solution of povidone has optimal viscosity and is characterized by high adhesive properties in relation to the anterior surface of the eye, due to which it forms a uniform pre-corneal tear film on the surface of the cornea, which persists for a long time, does not wash off when blinking, and does not reduce visual acuity. It protects the eye from dryness, irritation and other phenomena that often occur when wearing contact lenses and exposure to negative environmental factors.

The use of VID-CHEST solution allows you to make wearing contact lenses more comfortable.

The drug is packaged in an original container, which is a complex system of reservoirs and valves that prevents air from entering the bottle and ensures that drops of the same size and speed are removed, regardless of the applied force when pressing the base of the bottle (even with strong pressure).

The metal valves and other parts of the container in contact with the solution are partially covered with a thin layer of silver, which, along with the complete tightness of the container, guarantees additional sterility of the preparation. The absence of preservatives in VID-CHEST eye drops eliminates their undesirable effect on the eye tissue and ensures good tolerance of the product even with prolonged use.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, VID-CHEST is recommended for use in order to additionally moisturize the front surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva), eliminate dryness and discomfort, burning sensation and foreign body in the eyes, including in the following cases:

• wearing soft and hard contact lenses;
• intense visual stress: prolonged work at a computer or with a camera, excessive time in front of the TV, the need to drive vehicles at night, etc.;
• exposure to climatic factors: cigarette smoke, intense solar radiation, cold, wind, environmentally unfavorable air, conditioned air in the car, air travel.

Contraindications

VID-CHEST is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to any of the components that make up it.

Instructions for use VID-CHEST: method and dosage

The solution is dripped into the conjunctival sac of each eye, 1 drop 4 or 5 times a day, more often if necessary. The optimal frequency of instillation is set individually depending on the patient's feelings or on the recommendation of an ophthalmologist or contact lens specialist. Do not use VID-CHEST eye drops more than 10 times a day without consulting a doctor.

There are no restrictions on the duration of the drug use. However, if dryness / discomfort or other complaints persist for several days, a doctor's consultation is required.

One container contains 10 ml of solution, which corresponds to approximately 300 drops.

Mode of application:

1. Remove the cap. Before the first use, turn the bottle upside down and press its base several times until the first drop appears at the tip of the dropper - this means that the system is ready for use.
2. Tilt the head back a little, slightly retract the lower eyelid and instill one drop into the conjunctival sac, holding the container down with the dropper, pressing quickly and vigorously on its base.
3. Close your eyes slowly so that the liquid is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye.
4. Close the bottle tightly with a cap.

When instilling, avoid contact of the dropper with the eye, hands or other surfaces.
