Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Glycosaminoglycans, which are part of Balarpan-N, are natural elements of the connective tissue of the cornea. Possessing regenerative properties, they stimulate the reparative processes of the eye tissues. In combination with hypromellose, glycosaminoglycans have a protective effect on the cornea of the eye due to an anti-edema and moderate anti-inflammatory effect.
The gel protector of the corneal epithelium of the eye moisturizes and lubricates the surface of the cornea, improves the portability of contact lenses, eliminates discomfort with significant eye strain (working on a computer, driving a vehicle, etc.).
Indications for use
Application in ophthalmology:
- damage of various etiologies and involutional changes in the cornea of the eye (including keratitis, erosion, keratoconjunctivitis, penetrating and non-penetrating wounds of corneal tissues);
- corneal syndrome (including foreign body sensation, burning sensation, dry eye sensation).
Application in ophthalmic surgery:
- preoperative preparation and postoperative period - as an anti-inflammatory and decongestant;
- surgical interventions on the eyes associated with damage to the tissues of the cornea, sclera and conjunctiva (including laser surgery, cataract extraction).
