Viasan-LF is a drug used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Release form and composition

The dosage form of Viasana-LF release is film-coated tablets: blue, round, biconvex; the core at the break is almost white or white (in blister strip packs of 2, 4 or 10 pcs., in a cardboard box 1 package).

Composition of 1 tablet:

• active substance: sildenafil (in the form of citrate) - 50 or 100 mg;
• auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, magnesium stearate, lactose (milk sugar);
• shell: Opadry II (polyvinyl alcohol - 40%; macrogol - 20.2%; talc - 14.8%; titanium dioxide - 23.85%; aluminum varnish based on sunset yellow dye - 0.02%; aluminum varnish on dye based shiny blue - 0.38%; aluminum varnish based on indigo carmine dye - 0.75%).

Indications for use

Viasan-LF is prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction of various etiologies (organic, psychogenic, mixed).

Contraindications

Absolute:

• arterial hypertension / hypotension in severe forms;
• anamnestic data about the transferred heart attack and stroke in the previous 6 months;
• life-threatening arrhythmias;
• unstable angina;
• heart failure;
• hereditary retinitis pigmentosa;
• functional disorders of the liver / kidneys in severe course;
• galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or lactase deficiency;
• combined use with donors of nitric oxide or nitrates in any form;
• age up to 18 years;
• individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

Relative (diseases / conditions in which the use of Viasana-LF requires caution):

• multiple myeloma;
• sickle cell anemia;
• anatomical deformities of the penis;
• heart disease;
• increased tendency to bleeding;
• leukemia;
• peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage;
• arterial hypertension / hypotension (with arterial pressure 170/110 and 90/50 mm Hg);
• arterial hypertension against the background of multicomponent antihypertensive pharmacotherapy.

Method of administration and dosage

Before using the drug, you must consult a doctor in order to diagnose erectile dysfunction.

Viasan-LF is taken orally once a day, about 60 minutes before intercourse.

The average therapeutic dose is 50 mg, the maximum is 100 mg.

Side effects

Most often, during the use of Viasana-LF, the development of the following disorders is observed: headache, flushing of the face; less often - hearing loss up to its complete loss, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, temporary disturbance of color and light perception, clarity of vision. The following side effects may also occur: eye redness / pain, vomiting, hypersensitivity reactions, low blood pressure, epistaxis, fainting, priapism and / or prolonged erections.

Adverse reactions that appear during therapy are usually short-lived and mild / moderate.

Combined use with other drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction is not recommended.

Drug interactions

With the combined use of Viasana-LF with certain drugs / substances, the following effects may develop:

• nitrates (nitroglycerin and other drugs of this group), molsidomin, other nitric oxide donors: the combination is contraindicated;
• nitrates: increased hypotensive effect (possibly fatal);
• slow calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers and oral hypoglycemic drugs: the combination is not recommended (it is potentially life-threatening);
• ketoconazole, cimetidine, erythromycin: decreased clearance and increased plasma concentration of sildenafil in the blood;
• sodium nitroprusside: increased antiplatelet effect;
• rifampicin: a decrease in the plasma concentration of sildenafil in the blood;
• saquinavir, itraconazole, ritonavir: an increase in the plasma concentration of sildenafil in the blood.
