Vidisik is a remedy for protecting and moisturizing the cornea.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - eye gel 0.2%, produced in the form of a viscous, colorless, transparent liquid (tube 10 g, 1 pc. In a cardboard box).
The active ingredient is carbomer, its content in 1 g of gel is 2 mg.
Excipients: sodium hydroxide, cetrimide, sorbitol, water for injection.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
After instilling the gel, a protective film with moisturizing properties is formed on the cornea of the eye. Vidisic can be used as a replacement for the aqueous phase of the tear fluid: creating an imitation of the mucin layer, the gel helps moisturize the cornea and conjunctiva. The drug also accelerates the regeneration of the epithelium and prevents its damage.
The pharmacokinetics of the gel has not been studied, since it does not penetrate into the eye and does not accumulate in tissues.
The drug can be on the surface of the eye for no more than 90 minutes.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Vidisik is designed to create a protective moisturizing film on the cornea for diseases of the lacrimal apparatus:
- Insufficient production of tear fluid;
- Dry eye syndrome.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to carbomer or one of the auxiliary components of the drug.
Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation.
