Balm Golden Star is a herbal preparation with local irritating, antiseptic and distracting effects.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms:
- liquid balm: a transparent mass of liquid consistency, brownish-red, with a smell characteristic of essential oils (5 ml each in white glass bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box);
- balm: a solid homogeneous mass of brownish-yellow color with the smell of essential oils (4 g in a tin can, 1 can in a cardboard box);
- inhalation pencil: a filter of cellulose acetate with the smell of essential oils soaked in a solution of herbal ingredients (in a white polyethylene tube, 1 tube in a cardboard box).
1 ml of liquid balm contains:
- active ingredients: crystalline menthol (L-menthol) - 280 mg, peppermint oil - 229 mg, camphor - 88.8 mg, eucalyptus oil - 1 mg, cinnamon oil - 3.8 mg, clove oil - 4.6 mg;
- auxiliary components: liquid paraffin.
4 g of balm contains:
- active ingredients: racemic camphor - 910 mg, levomenthol - 455 mg, peppermint oil - 0.59 ml, carnation flower oil - 0.228 ml, eucalyptus leaves oil - 0.14 ml, Chinese cinnamon oil - 0.053 ml;
- auxiliary components: anhydrous lanolin, petrolatum, paraffin, liquid paraffin, beeswax.
1 stick for inhalation contains:
- active ingredients: camphor - 124 mg, crystalline menthol - 658 mg, eucalyptus oil - 65 mg, peppermint oil - 258 mg, clove oil - 5 mg, cinnamon oil - 6 mg;
- auxiliary components: liquid paraffin.
Pharmacological properties
Balm Golden Star stimulates the receptors of the skin and mucous membranes and has local warming, antiseptic, anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effects. The drug helps to reduce the severity of the inflammatory process and eliminates pain caused by ARVI, colds, as well as the causative agent of influenza and other factors.
Pharmacodynamics
The active components of the balm ensure the expansion of the capillaries, which leads to the stimulation of blood supply and a decrease in blood pressure, and also affects the reflex centers of the brain.

Inhalation pencil
A pencil for inhalation Balm Golden Star is used by inhalation, inhaling the contents of the tube through each nasal passage in turn.
