Staphylococcus aureus in the nose is an infectious disease caused by a spherical golden-colored gram-positive bacterium - Staphylococcus aureus, the localization of which is the mucous membrane of the nose, oropharynx and nasopharynx.

Symptoms of staphylococcus in the nose

Staphylococcus aureus in the nose is a dangerous disease, as its symptoms appear unexpectedly and in different ways. In some patients, symptoms of staphylococcus in the nose do not appear in any way, and the presence of an infection becomes known only after performing a bacterial culture. In other patients, on the contrary, symptoms manifest themselves in the form of an increase in body temperature, redness of the skin, the appearance of pustules on the skin and general intoxication of the body.

Symptoms of Staphylococcus aureus in children include abdominal pain, gastrointestinal problems, flatulence, and rash. A dangerous disease is for babies, since the appearance of pustules and intestinal colic are added to the main symptoms.

Treatment of staphylococcus in the nose

Treatment of staphylococcus in the nose is necessary in cases where the disease leads to inflammatory processes and the occurrence of sinusitis, chronic or acute rhinitis. Its activity in the body is due to a weakened immune system. Treatment of staphylococcus in the nose should be complex, that is, it should consist of long-term use of antibacterial drugs and immunomodulators.

Due to its pathogenic nature, staphylococcus in the nose is a rather intractable infection that quickly becomes resistant to antibiotics taken, which greatly complicates the healing process.
