About orthopedics
Orthopedics is one of the branches of clinical medicine associated with the study of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The sphere of interests of orthopedics includes such areas of activity as: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system arising from congenital malformations, inflammatory processes and injuries.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2/3 of the population of our planet suffer from diseases of the joints and spine to one degree or another. Osteoporosis, arthritis, flat feet, kefiasis, sciatica, atrophy and other problems of the musculoskeletal system significantly reduce the quality of life of people, restrict freedom of movement, and reduce a person's life to performing the simplest actions and work duties. It is for this reason that orthopedics attracts close attention of researchers who are developing new methods of treating diseases and technical means to facilitate the process of treatment and rehabilitation.
Children's orthopedics is especially important in this regard, since many chronic diseases of the joints and spine are the result of indifference to them at an early age. The development of pediatric orthopedics will increase the literacy and awareness of parents in this matter, make them consult a doctor in time if alarming symptoms occur. This is a very important point, because if you do not start timely treatment, then inevitable difficulties arise with the development of the child, which often lead to his disability and a drop in the quality of life.
