Baziron AC is an anti-acne agent, has a high antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes, has an anti-inflammatory and comedolytic effect, absorbs excess sebaceous secretion, suppresses the production of sebum in the sebaceous glands, moisturizes the skin, improves tissue oxygenation.

Release form and composition

The drug is presented in the form of a white homogeneous gel, the main active ingredient of which is benzoyl peroxide. Depending on its amount in 1 g (25, 50, 100 mg), a gel for external use is produced: 2.5%, 5% and 10% (in polyethylene tubes of 40 g, 1 tube in a cardboard box).

The product also contains an acrylate copolymer / glycerin complex, which ensures controlled adsorption of excess sebum and slow release of glycerin, which moisturizes and softens the epidermis.

Other auxiliary components: carbomer 940, poloxamer 182, anhydrous colloidal silicon, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate, disodium edetate, propylene glycol.

pharmachologic effect

Baziron AC has a pronounced antimicrobial effect and is active against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. The drug is characterized by anti-inflammatory and comedolytic effects, it also provides tissue oxygenation.

The use of Baziron AS helps to reduce the production of sebum in the sebaceous glands and moisturize the skin, and also ensures the absorption of excess secretions from the sebaceous glands. It contains benzoyl peroxide, an active oxidizing agent that has a bactericidal effect on microorganisms that are subsequently unable to produce strains resistant to this compound.

The anti-inflammatory effect of Baziron AS consists in the inactivation of free radicals in the focus of the inflammatory process, as well as in inhibiting the synthesis of free fatty acids.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Benzoyl peroxide does not penetrate the skin into the body very actively, being metabolized to form benzoic acid. After absorption, the active component of Baziron AS enters the bloodstream, then it is excreted mainly through the kidneys. There was no accumulation of benzoyl peroxide in the tissues. When applied topically, the drug does not cause systemic side effects.

Indications for use
