Teeth whitening at home: 5 effective ways
Not everyone can boast of a shining Hollywood smile. Even a person who regularly visits the dentist and monitors the state of the oral cavity periodically has problems: the enamel of the teeth darkens under the influence of certain products, deposits accumulate on it, giving a grayish or yellowish tint.
Of course, there is an opportunity to consult a doctor and carry out one of the teeth whitening procedures, but this takes time and quite tangible expenditures. In addition, most enamel color restoration techniques are quite aggressive and should not be used frequently.
To preserve the whiteness of tooth enamel between professional cleanings, there are proven folk methods using available tools. We invite readers to familiarize themselves with the most effective of them.
Baking soda
Dilute a tablespoon of baking soda with water to a semi-liquid consistency. Apply the mixture to teeth, rubbing lightly into the enamel, and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse your mouth with warm water and brush your teeth with a paste.
Cleaning with soda is carried out no more than once a week.

Apple vinegar
Periodically (once a week), you can clean the mouth with apple cider vinegar. For this, it is better to use a homemade product.
Vinegar (no more than 6%) should be taken into the mouth and held without swallowing for a few seconds, then spit out and rinsed with warm water. Repeat until 200 ml of vinegar has been used.
The method should not be used for people suffering from bleeding gums or having minor damage to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, since acetic acid can corrode wounds.

Banana peel
Banana peel contains substances with antibacterial activity and many trace elements that help to strengthen tooth enamel.
Use the inside of a small piece of banana peel to wipe your teeth with light pressure for a few minutes, and at the end of the procedure, rinse your mouth with water.
This method is absolutely harmless. Banana peel perfectly cleans teeth without harming soft tissues and mucous membranes. Accordingly, this cleaning can be done two to three times a week.

Strawberry
Garden strawberries, which we commonly call strawberries, are rich in organic acids that can dissolve dental plaque and vitamins that help strengthen the gums. For the procedure, not only fresh, but also frozen berries are suitable, which should be allowed to thaw before use. Of course, strawberries grown on their own plot are considered the safest. Imported berries that appear on the shelves out of season should not be used for cleaning teeth: they may contain traces of fertilizers, preservatives and other harmful chemicals.
The berry should be cut in half and its pulp should be rubbed over the surface of the teeth, and after 5-10 minutes, thoroughly cleaned with a paste to remove acid and small strawberry seeds. This is done no more than twice a week.

Bay leaf and orange peel
Orange peel contains acids and essential oils that successfully remove plaque, and laurel leaves contain a large amount of natural antibiotics that help preserve oral health.
To whiten the enamel, rub your teeth with the outer (orange) side of fresh orange peel. Dry bay leaf is ground into powder and applied on top of the resulting layer, left for 5 minutes. Then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. The procedure should not be carried out more than once a week.
