Bubo
Bubo (bubo; Latin tumor, from the Greek bubon - groin, tumor in the groin) is an enlarged superficial lymph node due to the inflammatory process.
Allocate bubo:
- Tularaemic (tularaemicus): characterized by the formation of periadenitis and a slow healing process, bubo, often with suppuration, ulceration and fistula; observed with tularemia;
- Secondary tularemia (tularaemicus secundarius): tularemia bubo arising from hematogenous drift of the pathogen located far from the site of infection;
- Tularemia primary (tularaemicus primarius): tularemia bubo, resulting from the entry of the pathogen into the lymph nodes that are regional in relation to the site of infection;
- Secondary plague (malignus secundarius, pestilentialis secundarius): bubo that occurs in plague due to hematogenous drift into the lymph nodes of the pathogen, in contrast to the primary plague bubo, is characterized by the absence of a direct connection with the site of penetration of the pathogen, moderate periadenitis and medium-sized size;
- Plague primary (malignus primarius, pestilentialis primarius): a large bubo that forms in the bubonic or cutaneous-bubonic form of plague due to the penetration of the infectious agent into the lymph nodes, which are regional in relation to the entrance gate of the infection, characterized by pronounced foci of necrosis with extensive periadenitis and severe pain;
- Plague primary of the second order: bubo arising in plague due to lymphogenous drift of the pathogen from the primary bubo along the lymph flow into the next group of lymph nodes; differs from the primary plague bubo in a lesser severity of necrosis and slow development.
- Secondary tularemia (tularaemicus secundarius): tularemia bubo arising from hematogenous drift of the pathogen located far from the site of infection;
- Tularemia primary (tularaemicus primarius): tularemia bubo, resulting from the entry of the pathogen into the lymph nodes that are regional in relation to the site of infection;
- Secondary plague (malignus secundarius, pestilentialis secundarius): bubo that occurs in plague due to hematogenous drift into the lymph nodes of the pathogen, in contrast to the primary plague bubo, is characterized by the absence of a direct connection with the site of penetration of the pathogen, moderate periadenitis and medium-sized size;
- Plague primary (malignus primarius, pestilentialis primarius): a large bubo that forms in the bubonic or cutaneous-bubonic form of plague due to the penetration of the infectious agent into the lymph nodes, which are regional in relation to the entrance gate of the infection, characterized by pronounced foci of necrosis with extensive periadenitis and severe pain;
- Plague primary of the second order: bubo arising in plague due to lymphogenous drift of the pathogen from the primary bubo along the lymph flow into the next group of lymph nodes; differs from the primary plague bubo in a lesser severity of necrosis and slow development.
