Elekasol is a combined herbal preparation with antimicrobial action.

Release form and composition

The dosage form of Elekasol is a collection of crushed or collection-powder: a mixture of heterogeneous particles of leaves, flowers, roots and stems of greenish-gray or gray-green color with orange-yellow, brown and white blotches, has a fragrant smell and sweetish taste of water extraction (collection crushed - in a cardboard box with an inner bag of 30, 50, 75 or 100 g; collection powder - in a cardboard box 10 or 20 filter bags of 2 g).

Active ingredients in Elekasol:

  • marigold flowers - 20%;
  • licorice roots - 20%;
  • leaves of eucalyptus rod-shaped - 20%;
  • sage leaves - 20%;
  • chamomile flowers - 10%;
  • succession grass - 10%.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Infusion / decoction collection Eleksol stimulates reparative processes and has antimicrobial (in relation to staphylococci, E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Protea and some other microorganisms) and anti-inflammatory effect.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Elekasol is prescribed simultaneously with other drugs for the treatment of the following diseases / conditions:

  • acute laryngopharyngitis, chronic tonsillitis, acute / chronic pharyngitis, bronchitis, tracheitis (diseases of the respiratory tract and ENT organs);
  • lichen planus of the oral mucosa, acute / recurrent aphthous stomatitis, periodontitis (dentistry);
  • neurodermatitis, microbial eczema, acne vulgaris and rosacea (dermatology);
  • chronic gastroduodenitis, colitis, enteritis, enterocolitis (gastroenterology);
  • chronic prostatitis, chronic pyelonephritis, urethritis, chronic cystitis (urology);
  • nonspecific inflammatory diseases of the cervix and vagina, including cervicitis, colpitis (gynecology).

Contraindications

  • age up to 12 years;
  • pregnancy and lactation (external / local application is possible after the assessment of the ratio of benefits to risks has been carried out);
  • individual intolerance to the components in Elekasol.

Instructions for the use of Elekasol: method and dosage

The method of application of the infusion / decoction from the collection of Elekasol is orally, externally or locally (including inhalation).

Cooking method:

  • infusion: 2 filter bags are poured into a glass / enamel container with 1 glass of boiling water and, covered, insist for 15 minutes, pressing periodically on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion is brought with boiled water to the original;
  • broth: 2 tbsp. l. collection is poured into an enamel bowl with 1 glass of hot boiled water, infused for 60 minutes, boiled for 15 minutes over low heat and re-infused for 45 minutes at room temperature, then filtered without adding additional water.

It is recommended to shake the broth / infusion before use.

Recommended application scheme:

  • inside: warm 3 times a day, preferably 30 minutes before meals; broth - undiluted or diluted 2-4 times for 1/3 cup; infusion - undiluted 1/3 cup;
  • lotions: 1-2 times a day, cold undiluted decoction / infusion is applied;
  • rinsing, irrigation and douching: warm; broth - diluted 2–4 times; infusion - diluted 2 times;
  • microclysters: warm, 50 ml of undiluted broth / infusion;
  • inhalation: hot undiluted decoction / infusion (when applied with an ultrasonic inhaler - in a warm form).

Duration of therapy with Elekasol:

  • diseases of the respiratory tract and ENT organs: 2-3 weeks simultaneously inside and locally in the form of rinsing and inhalations 2-5 times a day;
  • dentistry: 5-7 days simultaneously inside and topically in the form of rinsing, lotions, irrigation and soaking turunda with warm broth / infusion diluted 2-4 times 2-5 times a day;
  • dermatology: 2–3 weeks simultaneously inside and outside in the form of lotions;
  • gastroenterology: 2-3 weeks by mouth;
  • urology: 2-3 weeks inside and topically in the form of microclysters;
  • gynecology: 2–4 weeks simultaneously inside and topically in the form of irrigation, douching, lotions with warm diluted decoction / infusion 1–2 times a day.
