Dry marsh grass is a phytopreparation with choleretic and antispasmodic action.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - shredded vegetable raw materials: individual flowers, pieces of roots, stems, inflorescences and leaves; collection of greenish-gray color with a faint odor; the taste of the water infusion is salty (25, 30, 35 and 50 g each in paper bags enclosed in cardboard boxes, on which the text of the instructions for the use of Swamp Grass is applied).

Pharmacological properties

The herbal preparation contains tannins, flavonoids, essential oil and other biologically active substances. Its aqueous infusion has a vasodilating effect on peripheral blood vessels. Due to this, it has a moderate hypotensive activity, slows down the heart rate and increases blood clotting.

The drug also stimulates intestinal motility, has a choleretic effect, has an anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect.

Indications for use

The healing properties of the Bog grass are used in the treatment of the following diseases:

• mild arterial hypotension;
• peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (as part of complex therapy).

• age up to 18 years;
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• arterial hypotension;
• cholelithiasis;

Dry marsh grass, instructions for use: method and dosage

The phytopreparation is taken orally in the form of a warm water infusion before meals.

Preparation of infusion:

1. Place 4 tablespoons (about 10 g) of the chopped raw material in an enamel bowl.
2. Pour 1 cup (200 ml) of chilled boiled water and cover.
3. Boil in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
4. Refrigerate for 45 minutes at room temperature.
5. Strain, squeeze out the remaining raw materials.
6. Bring the resulting infusion to a volume of 200 ml with boiled water.

Adults are recommended to take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day. Before taking, the infusion should be shaken (or mixed thoroughly).

The duration of treatment is determined individually, depending on the indication and clinical picture of the disease.

Side effects

Bog grass can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
