Supradin is a multicomponent drug that replenishes the deficiency of vitamins, macro- and microelements.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms of Supradin:
- coated tablets: oval, biconvex, orange-red (10 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box 1, 3, 6 or 10 blisters);
- effervescent tablets: cylindrical, flat, from light yellow to pale yellow, interspersed with lighter and darker color; when dissolved in water, bubbles are released with the formation of a greenish-yellow, opaque, with a slight sediment solution with the smell of lemon (10 pcs. in foil, placed in a cylinder, in a cardboard box of 1 or 2 cylinders).
Active ingredients in 1 coated / effervescent tablet:
- vitamin A (retinol palmitate) - 3333/3333 IU (international units);
- vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - 150/150 mg;

Pharmacodynamics
Supradin contains 12 vitamins, minerals and rare elements, which are important factors in metabolic processes.
The therapeutic effect of the drug is determined by the vitamins and minerals included in its composition:
- vitamin A: participates in the synthesis of visual pigment, maintenance and formation of the function and structure of bones, skin, teeth; necessary for normal growth;
- vitamin C: takes part in the maintenance and formation of the function and structure of bones, gums and teeth; strengthens the walls of the capillaries;
- vitamin B 1: supports the work of the heart, helps to normalize the functioning of the nervous system;
- vitamin B 2: helps to improve the processes of tissue regeneration, including skin cells;
- vitamin B 6: helps to maintain the function and structure of teeth, bones, gums; affects erythropoiesis and normalization of the functioning of the nervous system;
- vitamin B 12: participates in the process of erythropoiesis, helps to normalize the functioning of the nervous system;
- vitamin E: ensures the normalization of the functioning of erythrocytes, protects cell membranes from damage;
- vitamin D 3: participates in the regulation of calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, promoting the absorption of these substances in the intestines, their timely deposition in the bones;
- pantothenic acid: participates in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates;
- biotin: promotes protein absorption, takes part in metabolic processes;
- nicotinamide: provides the transfer of phosphate and hydrogen, takes part in redox processes;
- folic acid: takes part in erythropoiesis;
- magnesium: participates in the formation of bone and muscle tissue, as well as in protein synthesis;
- calcium: participates in the formation of teeth and bones, helps to normalize blood clotting;
- phosphorus: participates in the formation of teeth and bones, participates in the processes of energy metabolism;
- iron: takes part in erythropoiesis; is an important component of hemoglobin, which provides oxygen transport to tissues;
- copper: helps to normalize the function of red blood cells and iron metabolism;
- manganese: promotes proper bone mineralization;
- molybdenum: is part of coenzymes and enzymes involved in many redox reactions in the body;
- zinc: it is part of about 70 enzymes that are involved in the synthesis and metabolism of hormones, as well as the interaction and division of immunocompetent cells.
Vitamin deficiency appears in the following cases:
- Increased need (growth period, pregnancy and breastfeeding period, old age, convalescence period, antibiotic therapy and chemotherapy).
- Reduced consumption (weight loss and unbalanced diets, old age, gastrointestinal diseases).
In the above conditions, the lack of only one of the vitamins is observed in rare cases. Also, as a rule, this is accompanied by a violation of the supply of the most rare elements and common minerals.
Supradin is a complete multivitamin complex that helps prevent vitamin deficiencies and allows for their therapy.
Indications for use
Vitamins Supradin are prescribed for hypo- and avitaminosis, and a lack of minerals (treatment and prevention) in the following cases:
- increased physical / mental stress;
- inadequate / unbalanced nutrition (diet);
- recovery period after long-term / severe illness, including infectious;
- chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy;
- chronic alcoholism (along with other drugs).
Contraindications
- hypervitaminosis A and D;
- hypercalcemia;
- the period of treatment with retinoids;
- renal failure;
- age up to 12 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Additional contraindications for coated tablets:
- severe hypercalciuria;
- violation of the exchange of copper or iron;
- allergic reactions to soy or peanuts;
- fructose intolerance, sucrase / isomaltase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Instructions for use of Supradin: method and dosage
Supradin is taken orally, preferably with meals.
The effervescent tablet must first be dissolved in a glass of water. Coated tablets are recommended to be taken whole with water (200 ml).
Recommended regimen: 1 effervescent or film-coated tablet per day.
Duration of admission is 30-60 days. The doctor may prescribe a second course.
Side effects
- nervous system: insomnia, dizziness, headache, nervousness;
- digestive system: vomiting, constipation, pain in the intestines and stomach, diarrhea, nausea;
- metabolic disorders: hypercalciuria;
- allergic reactions: blisters, itching, rash, swelling of the face, redness of the skin, shortness of breath, shock (when these symptoms appear, Supradin is canceled).
Overdose
The main symptoms of an overdose of Supradin: confusion, dizziness, sudden attacks of headache, gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea, constipation or diarrhea. Signs of acute / chronic overdose may appear after a single dose of Supradin in high doses or during long-term treatment.
Therapy: you should immediately discontinue the drug and seek medical advice. In case of accidental overdose (for children weighing 12 kg - taking more than 12 tablets; for adults weighing 60 kg - more than 60 tablets), it is necessary to induce vomiting or wash out the stomach. Treatment is symptomatic, there is no specific antidote. In some patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, an overdose of vitamin C (more than 15 g) can lead to the development of hemolytic anemia.

Patients who are taking other medications should consult a doctor before starting therapy.
The recommended dosages must not be exceeded, as this can lead to adverse effects (in particular, this applies to vitamins A and D, iron and copper), manifested in the form of malaise, abdominal pain, headache with vomiting and nausea, dizziness, bone and joint pain, dry skin and brittle nails, hair loss and weight loss, nausea, vomiting, thirst, stool disorders, dehydration.
Riboflavin, which is part of Supradin, can cause urine to turn bright yellow (does not pose a health hazard).
One Supradin effervescent tablet contains:
- sodium - about 300 mg (corresponds to 700 mg of table salt), which must be taken into account when following a diet with minimal salt intake;
- sucrose - about 1000 mg (corresponds to 0.1 bread unit), which must be taken into account if it is necessary to comply with an antidiabetic diet.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Supradin can be taken for lactating and pregnant women, subject to the recommended regimen. There is no information indicating a risk to the fetus.
Persistent hypercalcemia in combination with a constant overdose of vitamin D has an adverse effect on the fetus and the newborn, which manifests itself as the development of supravalvular stenosis of the aortic orifice in the fetus, mental and physical retardation, retinopathy in children. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the amount of vitamin D entering the body of a newborn.
The dose of vitamin A during pregnancy should not be higher than 3000-4000 IU per day; therefore, Supradin should not be taken in combination with other drugs that contain vitamin A, synthetic isomers, etretinate and isotretinoin or beta-carotene.
Pediatric use
According to the instructions, Supradin is not prescribed for children under 12 years of age.
With impaired renal function
Renal failure is a contraindication to the use of the drug.
Drug interactions
Supradin vitamins should not be taken in combination with other multivitamin preparations.
Possible interactions:
- levodopa: increased peripheral metabolism, which can lead to a decrease in its therapeutic effect (associated with vitamin B 6);
- anticoagulants or drugs that affect platelet aggregation: the combination requires caution (due to vitamin E);
- medicines with laxative effects, including paraffin oil: impaired absorption of vitamin D in the gastrointestinal tract;
- oral antibiotics from the tetracyclines group and antiviral drugs: delay in their absorption (associated with micro- and macroelements; an interval between taking these drugs is required for 1-2 hours);
- Foods containing phytin (whole grains) and oxalates (spinach, sorrel, rhubarb): decreased absorption of calcium (an interval of 2 hours is required between the intake of these foods and Supradin).
