special instructions
During the period of Sulgin's use, an additional intake of B vitamins is recommended to avoid the development of a deficiency, as well as drinking plenty of fluids (2-3 liters of liquid per day) to prevent the development of crystalluria.
In case of receiving insufficient doses or early termination of treatment, resistant strains of pathogens may appear.
Drug interactions
Sulfaguanidine reduces the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.
Coumarin anticoagulants, diphenin and antidiabetic drugs (sulfonylurea derivatives) increase the side effects of Sulgin.
Novocaine, procaine, benzocaine and anesthesin reduce the antimicrobial effect of the drug.
In the case of the simultaneous use of hexamethylenetetramine and ascorbic acid, the acidity of urine increases, as a result of which the risk of developing crystalluria increases.
