Yoghurt diet
This nutritional system was developed and first used by the German physician Zeik. Back in the first half of the twentieth century, under his leadership, patients of a Swiss sanatorium tried a diet on themselves, the main product in the diet of which was yogurt, necessarily low-fat and without added sugar.
The peculiarity of the diet is that food based on a fermented milk product is comfortable for the digestive tract, creates a feeling of lightness in the body almost from the first days.
After completing the diet, it is advisable to limit the amount of calories received from food to 1800 per day so that the lost pounds do not return. For the same reason, additional foods should be introduced into the diet gradually.
The basic rules are as follows:
- every day you need to consume 500 ml of natural yogurt. The total volume is divided into 4 doses, with no more than 1/3 of the daily portion in the second half of the day;
- in addition to yogurt, 400 g of fruits, 100 g of lean meat, vegetables and fruit juices are consumed during the day;
- it is recommended to drink warm tea before a meal;
- the recommended course duration is 10 days, the diet can be repeated no earlier than in 2-3 months;
- thermal processing of products is minimal and gentle. In boiled or stewed form, only chicken and vegetables are used, you cannot fry foods with oil.

Benefits of a yogurt diet
Weight loss on a yogurt diet is fast - 2 to 5 kg per week.
Many who have tried eating according to Dr. Zeik's principles admit that dieting is easy. Fruits, vegetables, and yogurt are delicious and healthy. The diet is balanced and does not harm health, daily consumption of yoghurt has a beneficial effect on digestion, and therefore on health in general.
Disadvantages and contraindications of the yogurt diet
The diet of the diet does not contain all the substances necessary for the life of the body. Micronutrient deficiencies can adversely affect your health if you stick to the diet for longer than the recommended period.
After the end of the 10-day period, you can quickly gain the lost weight if you do not limit your diet.
Contraindications for switching to a diet - allergy to fermented milk products and citrus fruits; diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
What foods are allowed?
In addition to yogurt, it is allowed to eat vegetables and unsweetened fruits: green apples, any citrus fruits, berries. Dried fruits are also allowed.
Lean meat such as skinless chicken is included in the diet once a day.
The use of water, black and green unsweetened tea and freshly squeezed fruit juices without added sugar is not limited. Pomegranate juice is especially useful. The total volume of fluid you drink should be at least 1.5 liters per day.
What foods are prohibited?
It is forbidden to eat all products, except those permitted, including sugar.
Care must be taken when choosing fruits. The use of sweet fruits should be minimized, and grapes, watermelons, melons, pears should be excluded from the menu completely.

Tip 1. Natural yoghurt can be prepared at home using dry starter cultures.
Advice 2. The diet does not regulate salt intake, but it is still better to reduce it in order to avoid fluid retention in the body and associated edema.
