Oral solution STIMOL
Oral solution STIMOL

Stimol is a general tonic drug that is used to normalize metabolic processes during symptomatic therapy of functional asthenia.

Release form and composition

The drug is available in the form of an oral solution: yellowish or colorless, has the smell of orange (10 ml in sachets made of a combined material or dark glass ampoules, in a cardboard box 18 sachets / ampoules).

Composition of 1 ml solution:

  • active substance: citrulline malate - 100 mg;
  • additional components: natural sangria orange flavor - 10 mg; 30% sodium hydroxide solution - 18.86 mg; purified water - up to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Stimol is characterized by anti-asthenic action and also provides liver detoxification. Citrulline is an amino acid that takes part in the cycle of neutralization of ammonia in the liver tissues, formed as a result of the destruction of nitrogen-containing compounds. In the liver, ammonia is converted to urea. Citrulline becomes an integral part of the urea cycle and accelerates the elimination of ammonium ions. Malat is involved in gluconeogenesis and the Krebs cycle, normalizes metabolism, lowers blood lactate levels, and stimulates the body's protective factors of a non-specific nature.

Pharmacokinetics

Citrulline malate is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract at a high rate. Its maximum plasma concentration is reached on average about 50 minutes after ingestion. Citrulline is quickly excreted from the plasma: its content in it is close to physiological after 6 hours. Since the active component is involved in the processes of cellular metabolism, it is found in the urine only in small concentrations.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Stimol is used for the symptomatic therapy of functional asthenia:

  • overwork;
  • increased fatigue;
  • asthenic syndrome;
  • recovery period after illnesses.
