Menalind is a series of bedside care products used to prevent pressure ulcers.

Description of the Menalind series

A series of products for the care of immobilized patients "Menalind" is produced by the German company Paul Hartmann, which specializes in the production of medical products.

The series includes foam for cleansing the body without water, shampoo, washing and moisturizing body lotions, cream, sanitary napkins, oil, skin foam with a protective effect.

Active substances of Menalind foam for cleansing: water; lactic acid, which has a whitening, exfoliating, refreshing, moisturizing effect; cetyl alcohol, which softens the skin; anti-inflammatory creatine. After applying the foam, the patient's skin is noticeably moisturized and softened, an unpleasant odor disappears.

Menalind shampoo contains panthenol - a substance known for its wound healing, antibacterial and analgesic effects. Shampoo from this series provides care for an overly dry scalp of the patient and gentle washing of hair, it can be used daily. Those who have used the shampoo note that the hair is easy to comb after using it, which is especially important when caring for bed patients.

The active ingredient in Menalind Detergent Lotion is panthenol. The tool is used to completely wash the patient, it removes the unpleasant odor well, does not irritate sensitive and dry skin.

Menalind Moisturizing Lotion contains chamomile extract, panthenol and bisabolol, which has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. The tool, as well as the Menalind washing lotion, is used to completely wash the patient's body, but due to its enhanced composition, it better moisturizes and heals microtraumas on the skin.

It has been found that the remedies from the Menalind series from bedsores help well. Menalind cream is especially effective for the prevention of bedsores. Its active ingredients are creatine and zinc oxide, which have a bactericidal effect and dry out the skin. Additionally, this Menalind remedy for bedsores removes an unpleasant odor, maintains the skin's immunity, promotes the formation of a protective film on it and, thus, prevents the irritating effect of feces and urine on the skin of the genitals, buttocks and legs. At the same time, it is separately noted that Menalind cream does not irritate even sensitive and very dry skin.

Menalind wet wipes soaked in lotion are used to wipe the patient's body. They moisturize and cleanse the skin well, and have antibacterial properties. Napkins can be used when it is not possible to wash the patient with water.

Menalind oil is used when the patient's skin is very dry or cracked. The product quickly eliminates itching, moisturizes the skin without leaving a film-like feeling. Menalind oil also helps against bedsores, since the product can be used for massage.

Foam for the skin with a protective effect is produced in the form of an aerosol, it is used in cases where it is not possible to provide constant patient care: the protective effect of the foam remains for another 6 hours after application. The active ingredients of the foam are panthenol, creatine, as well as aloe and allantoin, which have a healing and antibacterial effect. Foam Menalind well protects the skin of the genitals, legs and buttocks from the aggressive effects of feces and urine, which is especially effective if the patient has incontinence.
