Release form and composition

Gleacer is available in the form of a solution for intramuscular and intravenous administration, which is a clear, colorless liquid (4 ml in ampoules of light-protective or neutral glass, 3 or 5 ampoules in blisters, one blister in a cardboard box).

Composition for 1 ml of solution:

  • active substance: choline alfoscerate hydrate - 250 mg (in terms of anhydrous substance);
  • auxiliary component: water for injection.

Indications for use

  • cerebrovascular insufficiency;
  • multi-infarction dementia (micro-strokes in different parts of the brain);
  • psychoorganic syndrome against the background of involutional processes of the brain and degenerative diseases;
  • traumatic brain injury with a predominant lesion of the brain stem (acute period).

Contraindications

  • exacerbation of hemorrhagic stroke;
  • children and adolescents up to 18 years old;
  • the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • hypersensitivity to the drug.

Method of administration and dosage

Gleacer is injected intravenously slowly or intramuscularly. The daily dose is 1000 mg. The course of treatment is 15–20 days.

For intravenous infusion, the contents of one ampoule with the drug (4 ml) are diluted in isotonic sodium chloride solution.
