Lactofiltrum tablets

Lactofiltrum is a complex enterosorbent preparation that helps to normalize the intestinal microflora.

Release form and composition

Lactofiltrum is produced in the form of tablets: capsule-shaped, biconvex, dark brown with gray-white inclusions, with a risk (in blisters of 10 pcs., 1-3, 6 packs in a cardboard box; in blisters of 15 pcs., 2 or 4 packages in a cardboard box; in polymer bottles, 30 or 60 pcs., 1 bottle each in a cardboard box).

The composition of 1 tablet contains active ingredients:

  • Hydrolytic lignin - 355 mg;
  • Lactulose - 120 mg.

Auxiliary components: magnesium stearate - 5 mg, croscarmellose sodium - 20 mg.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Hydrolysis lignin is a natural enterosorbent, which includes the products of hydrolysis of wood components. It is characterized by increased sorption activity and non-selective detoxification effect. Lignin binds in the intestine and removes from the body allergens, pathogenic microorganisms and the toxins produced by them, alcohol, salts of heavy metals, drugs, as well as an excess of certain metabolic products, including urea, bilirubin, serotonin, histamine, cholesterol and other metabolites that provoke the development of endogenous toxicosis.

Lactulose is a synthetic disaccharide, the molecule of which contains residues of fructose and galactose. Its release occurs in the large intestine, after which lactulose as a substrate is fermented by normal intestinal microflora. This promotes an increase in the concentration of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria.

Lactofiltrum normalizes the microbiocenosis of the large intestine and reduces the intensity of endogenous toxic conditions. The use of the drug in the complex treatment of bacterial vaginosis (vaginal dysbiosis) makes it possible to enhance the effectiveness of therapy by increasing the content of lactobacilli in the vagina, as well as successfully suppressing the growth of opportunistic microflora.

Pharmacokinetics

Lignin does not exhibit toxic properties, is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is completely excreted in the feces within 1 day. Lactulose is also practically not absorbed and is not hydrolyzed in the stomach and upper intestine, but it is involved in the processes of hydrolysis in the large intestine, as a result of which formic, acetic and lactic acids are formed, which suppress the growth of pathogenic bacteria and help reduce the production of nitrogen-containing toxic substances. This causes an increase in osmotic pressure in the lumen of the large intestine and stimulates peristalsis.

Indications for use

  • Intestinal dysbiosis (microflora disorders), incl. associated with antibiotic therapy;
  • Liver cirrhosis and hepatitis (together with other drugs);
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (in conjunction with other drugs);
  • Allergic diseases, including urticaria, atopic dermatitis (in conjunction with other drugs).

Contraindications

  • Bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Bowel obstruction;
  • Galactosemia (hereditary disease caused by impaired carbohydrate metabolism);
  • Hypersensitivity to drug components.

According to the instructions, Lactofiltrum should be taken with caution in patients with intestinal atony and gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer (with exacerbation).

Instructions for the use of Lactofiltrum: method and dosage
