Release form and composition
Dosage form - vaginal gel (5 ml in disposable tubes, 7 tubes in a cardboard box).
The composition of the gel in one tube:
- active substance: lactic acid - 225 mg;
- auxiliary components: glycogen, sodium lactate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, propylene glycol, water.
Pharmacological properties
Lactagel contains lactic acid and glycogen.
Lactic acid lowers the pH of the vagina (creates a more acidic environment).
Glycogen is a nutrient medium necessary for the reproduction of beneficial lactobacilli.
Thus, Lactagel normalizes the pH value and creates optimal conditions for the reproduction of lactobacilli, thereby restoring the natural environment in the vagina and eliminating unpleasant symptoms such as discomfort, abundant discharge, and unpleasant odor.
Indications for use
- maintaining normal vaginal flora and preventing symptoms of bacterial vaginosis;
- relief of symptoms of bacterial vaginosis.

Instructions for the use of Lactagel: method and dosage
The drug is used intravaginally.
Recommended dosage regimens:
- treatment of bacterial vaginosis (elimination of symptoms such as profuse discharge, unpleasant odor and vaginal discomfort): 1 tube 1 time per day for 7 days;
- elimination of symptoms of bacterial vaginosis during menstruation: 1 tube 1 time per day for 1-2 days after the end of menstruation;
- maintaining the natural pH values of the vagina and preventing the development of symptoms of bacterial vaginosis: 1 tube 1 time in 3 days for 3 months;
- maintaining the natural pH values of the vagina during the use of antifungal agents and / or antibiotics: 1 tube 1 time per day for 4-5 days at the end of the course of therapy with these drugs.
Method of using Lactagel:
- Open the tube by turning the cap and removing it.
- Insert the tip into the vagina.
- Squeeze the sides of the tube to squeeze out the gel.
- Without stopping squeezing the tube, remove it from the vagina.
- Throw away the used tube.
It is recommended to use Lactagel before bed and use sanitary towels for linen, as some of the drug may leak out.
