Release form and composition
Dosage form - herbal collection in the form of a crushed mixture or powder: raw material from heterogeneous particles of dark green color with numerous inclusions of yellow, brown, orange, gray, white, with a fragrant odor; water extract with a bitter-spicy, slightly cooling taste (chopped raw materials: 30 g, 35 g, 40 g, 50 g, 60 g, 70 g, 75 g or 100 g in a paper bag, in a cardboard box 1 bag; 50 g in a polypropylene bag, in a cardboard box 1 bag; powder: 1.5 g or 2 g in a filter bag, in a cardboard box 10 or 20 filter bags).
100 g of herbal collection contains:
- buckthorn (bark): 30 g;
- stinging nettle (leaves): 30 g;
- peppermint (leaves): 20 g;
- marsh calamus (rhizome): 10 g;
- valerian officinalis (rhizome with roots): 10 g.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
According to the instructions, Gastric collection No. 3 has an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, choleretic, laxative effect.
The effect of the drug is due to a combination of substances contained in the five components of its composition:
- buckthorn bark: anthraglycosides, tannins, saponins;
- nettle leaves: mineral salts, carotene, vitamins C and K, tannins;
- peppermint leaves: menthol;
- rhizomes of calamus marsh: essential oil, acorin, tannins;
- rhizomes with valerian roots: borneol, isovaleric acid and borneol ester, free valeric and other organic acids, alkaloids (valerin, hatinine), sugars, tannins.
Indications for use
- symptomatic therapy of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract with pain of a spastic nature;
- constipation (as a laxative)
Contraindications
- intestinal obstruction;
- calculous cholecystitis;
- gastrointestinal bleeding;
- acute abdominal syndrome;
- acute inflammatory pathologies of the abdominal organs;
- period of pregnancy;
- breast-feeding;
- age up to 12 years;
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Instructions for use of Gastric collection No. 3: method and dosage
The ready-made herbal infusion is taken orally, 100 ml each morning and evening.
Recommendations for preparing the infusion:
- chopped mixture: 1 tablespoon (approximately 5 g) of the collection is placed in an enamel bowl, 200 ml of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and infused for 30 minutes in a boiling water bath, then for another 10 minutes at room temperature. Having filtered and squeezed out the remaining raw materials, the volume of the resulting infusion should be brought to 200 ml by adding boiled water;
- powder: 2 filter bags are placed in an enamel or glass vessel, 200 ml of boiling water are poured, covered with a lid and infused for 30 minutes (the contents of the vessel should be stirred periodically). Having taken out and squeezed out the filter bag, the volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.
It is recommended to shake the infusion before taking it.
Side effects
- allergic reactions;
- others: against the background of long-term use - headache, weight loss, thirst, pain in the heart, constipation, absence or reduction of the laxative effect.
Overdose
Symptoms: Colicky abdominal pain.
Treatment: the patient is prescribed symptomatic therapy.

The finished infusion should be stored in a cool place and used within two days.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and complex mechanisms
During the period of application of the infusion, it is recommended to perform with caution potentially dangerous types of work that require a high speed of psychomotor reactions and concentration of attention, including driving.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is contraindicated to use the collection during gestation and lactation.
Pediatric use
Children under 12 years of age are not recommended to take infusion from the herbal collection.

The interaction of the infusion prepared from the collection with other drugs has not been established.
