Dipana is a hepatoprotective drug of plant origin and intended for the treatment of liver diseases.
Release form and composition
The drug is available in the form of tablets with a biconvex oblong shape with rounded ends. The tablets are covered with a light green film shell, in the section they are gray interspersed with black, black-brown shades, have a specific smell (12 tablets in a blister, 4 blisters in a cardboard box with instructions for use; 90 pcs. In a plastic jar, 1 jar in a pack of cardboard).
1 tablet contains:
- active ingredients (in the form of dry aqueous extracts): picrooriza curroa - 80 mg, white eclipta - 40 mg, niruri phyllanthus - 40 mg, paniculata andrographis - 40 mg, cordifolia tinospora - 30 mg, black nightshade - 30 mg, spreading berkhavia - 10 mg, medicinal ginger - 10 mg, water hyssop - 10 mg, long pepper - 8 mg;
- auxiliary substances: dried corn starch - 60 mg, talc - 7.5 mg, magnesium stearate - 5 mg, croscarmellose sodium - 5 mg, microcrystalline cellulose - 5 mg, sodium carboxymethyl starch - 5 mg, sodium lauryl sulfate - 2.5 mg, benzoate sodium - 2 mg, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate - 1.5 mg, sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.5 mg, bronopol - 0.12 mg.
The shell includes:
- opadry II green (film coating): polyethylene glycol, blue aluminum varnish, quinoline yellow aluminum varnish, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, lecithin, titanium dioxide - 21.5 mg;
- opadry II white (film coating): polyethylene glycol / macrogol, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, lecithin (soy), titanium dioxide - 9.5 mg;

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The drug, thanks to the active substances of plant origin in its composition, promotes the regeneration of liver cells, normalizes the protein-synthetic function of the liver, protects the liver from the harmful effects of toxic substances contained in medicines, alcohol, as well as other adverse effects, improves the digestion process.
The dry water extracts of plants that are part of Dipana have the following properties:
- picrooriza curroa, andrographis - prevent the destructive effect on the liver of drugs and toxic substances due to their hepatoprotective properties;
- phyllanthus niruri and tinospora cordifolia - have immunomodulatory properties;
- black nightshade - stimulates the enzyme systems of the mitochondria of hepatocytes, thereby activating the detoxifying properties of the liver;
- berhavia - stimulates the outflow of bile from the liver;
- medicinal ginger - stimulates and improves the peristalsis of the bile ducts and intestines, reduces dyspeptic disorders;
- water hyssop, eclipta white - improve the general condition of the patient due to their antioxidant activity;
- long pepper - improves the effect of the components of other extracts, and also prevents the development of liver fibrosis.
Pharmacokinetics
It is not possible to carry out kinetic observations, as well as to detect Dipana's metabolites, due to the fact that all components of the drug cannot be traced using bio-studies or markers.
Indications for use
- combination therapy for chronic, acute, medicinal, toxic hepatitis;
- complex therapy of liver cirrhosis;
- hypomotor dyskinesia of the biliary tract;
- fatty degeneration of the liver;
- alcoholic liver disease;
- prevention of intoxication (including alcoholism).
Contraindications
- high sensitivity to the components that make up Dipana;
- age up to 10 years;
- pregnancy;
- lactation period.
Instructions for the use of Dipana: method and dosage
It is recommended to take Dipan on an empty stomach. The tablet should be taken with a sufficient amount of water.
Recommended dosage:
- hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, toxic and medicinal liver damage: 2 tablets 3 times a day; application course - 4–8 weeks;
- hypomotor dyskinesia of the biliary tract: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day; application course - 4-8 weeks;
- fatty degeneration, alcoholic liver disease: 2-3 tablets 2 times a day; application course - 8-12 weeks;
- prevention of liver damage in chronic intoxication: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day; the course of application is 4–8 weeks.
Side effects
Allergic reactions may occur when taking the drug.
Sometimes there are reactions such as: headache, sleep disorders, dry mouth, increased urine output, intestinal cramps, diarrhea, nausea.
