Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Detravenol is a combined venotonic drug with an angioprotective effect, which contains diosmin and bioflavonoids in the form of hesperidin. The drug helps to reduce venous stasis and extensibility of veins, reduce capillary permeability and fragility, and increase their resistance. Against the background of a combination of active substances, venous tone increases, microcirculation and lymph drainage improve. An increase in venous tone occurs due to a decrease in the time of venous emptying. With a pronounced violation of microcirculation, an increase in capillary resistance is possible.

In patients with chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities of organic or functional genesis, regular intake of tablets leads to a decrease in the severity of the clinical manifestations of the disease.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, diosmin and hesperidin undergo active metabolism.

The half-life of the drug is 11 hours.

The active components are excreted mainly (about 86% of the dose taken) through the intestines, the rest through the kidneys.

Indications for use

Detravenol is indicated for the relief and elimination of symptoms of the following chronic venous diseases:

  • chronic venous-lymphatic insufficiency of the lower extremities - for the purpose of treating symptoms (pain, cramps, feeling of fatigue, heaviness and distention in the legs) and manifestations (edema, trophic disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue and / or trophic venous ulcers) of the disease;
  • acute and chronic hemorrhoids.

Contraindications

  • breast-feeding;
  • hypersensitivity to drug components.

  • acute hemorrhoids: 3 pcs. 2 times a day (morning and evening) for the first 4 days, then 2 pcs. 2 times a day for the next 3 days. For chronic hemorrhoids - 2 pcs. in a day.
