pharmachologic effect

Delufen is a drug that contains homeopathic components of plant origin with increased biological activity. The drug is characterized by anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antimicrobial, anti-edema and reparative action.

According to the instructions, Delufen reduces the sensitivity of the mucous membrane of the paranasal sinuses, passages and the internal cavity of the nose to environmental allergens (household dust, tobacco smoke, pollen, pet hair, strong unpleasant odors) and endogenous irritants. At the same time, the likelihood of exudation of pathological agents decreases, which makes it possible to eliminate the edematous phase of the inflammatory process and significantly reduces the risk of purulent complications of various nosological elements.

The drug normalizes the secretory function of the glands of the mucous membrane, contributing to the release of the nasal passages from excess mucus and secretions of endogenous origin and facilitating nasal breathing. It has antiseptic properties and destroys harmful microorganisms by intensifying the work of immune cells in the nasal mucosa. The active ingredients of the drug provide moderate moisture to the inner surfaces of the nasal passages and improve the defense mechanisms of the immune system.

With long-term therapy with Delufen, tachyphylaxis is absent throughout the course of conservative sanitation, that is, the effectiveness of the drug does not decrease and it does not cause addiction or drug dependence.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Delufen is a multicomponent herbal medicinal product, therefore, it is not possible to conduct reliable clinical studies regarding the pharmacokinetics of the drug. Biological markers of active metabolites of the active ingredients of the spray have also not been studied.

Indications for use

The use of the spray is indicated as part of the complex treatment of diseases of the ENT organs, including:

Reviews about Delufen

At the moment, positive reviews about Delufen are much more common than negative ones. This drug, although quite expensive, in a fairly short period of time eliminates pathologies that significantly worsen the quality of life. With a favorable reaction of the body to conservative therapy, the maximum duration of the course of treatment does not exceed 4 weeks. The drug allows you to get rid of an overly abundant rhinorrhea due to the elimination of the action of provoking factors and the relief of the exudative phase of the development of the inflammatory process.

Delufen is very popular with parents, since many children of preschool and primary school age are very active and often end up in otolaryngological hospitals with diseases of exogenous etiology (intense discharge from the nasal cavity, reaction to allergens, foreign bodies entering the nasal cavity).

The question of prescribing the drug during pregnancy and lactation has not yet been finally resolved and is actively discussed at medical conferences dedicated to diseases of the ENT organs, therefore, reviews of its use in this category of patients are very rare.

The price of Delufen in pharmacies

The price for a 20 ml bottle of Delufen varies depending on the region and averages 780 rubles.
