Bronchostat is a homeopathic complex used in the treatment of cough.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms of Bronchostat:
- sublingual homeopathic tablets: flat-cylindrical, white / white with a yellowish tinge / white with a grayish tinge, on one side there is a dividing line [10 or 20 pcs. in blister packs made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) film and varnished printed aluminum foil, in a cardboard box together with instructions for medical use of the drug 4 or 6 packs of 10 tablets each or 2 or 3 packs of 20 tablets; 60 pcs. in polymer cans with polymer lids, in a cardboard box together with instructions for medical use of the drug 1 can];
- homeopathic granules: homogeneous texture, white / white with a yellowish tinge / white with a grayish tinge, have the correct spherical shape, there is no smell (15, 30 or 50 g each in polymer cans with polymer lids, instructions for using Bronchostat and 1 can in a cardboard box).
Active ingredients in sublingual tablets and granules:

- Bryonia (bryony) D6;

Additional substances that make up the tablets: potato starch, lactose monohydrate, calcium stearate.
Auxiliary components that make up the granules: starch syrup + sucrose (sugar granules).
Pharmacological properties
Bronchostat is a multicomponent homeopathic remedy, the action of which is due to the properties of the active substances in its composition.
Indications for use
- cough syndrome with influenza, acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and other infectious diseases;
- acute and chronic bronchitis - as part of complex therapy;
- exacerbation of chronic bronchitis - for prevention.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- glucose-galactose malabsorption, lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency; additionally for granules - fructose intolerance, isomaltase and / or sucrase deficiency;
- age under 5;
- hypersensitivity to the individual components of the Bronchostat.
With caution and only on condition that the expected benefit from therapy for the mother outweighs the possible risk to the health of the fetus or child, it is recommended to use a homeopathic remedy during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Before use, it is imperative to consult a doctor.
Bronchostat, instructions for use: method and dosage
Sublingual tablets
Bronchostat tablets are intended for sublingual use. They dissolve under the tongue 30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal.
The standard regimen for taking the drug (treatment):
- adult patients and children over the age of 10: 1 tablet 3 times a day;
- children aged 5 to 10 years: 1/2 tablet 3 times a day.
In an acute condition, the daily dose of Bronchostat must be diluted in half a glass of water and taken 1 tsp. every 10-15 minutes for 2-3 hours, then switch to the standard regimen. Before swallowing, the product should be kept in the mouth for 10-15 seconds.
The duration of the therapeutic course is 1-2 months. If necessary, it is allowed to conduct 3-4 courses per year, observing a 30-day interval between them.
In the autumn-winter period, Bronchostat tablets are taken to prevent exacerbations.
The standard regimen for taking the drug (prophylaxis):
- adult patients and children over 14 years old: 1 tablet 2 times a day;
- children aged 5 to 14 years: 1 tablet 1 time per day.
Sublingual granules
Bronchostat granules are intended for sublingual use. They dissolve under the tongue 30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal.
The standard regimen for taking the drug:
- adult patients and children over 12 years old: 9-11 granules 5-6 times a day for one or two days until acute symptoms stop, then 9-11 granules 3-5 times a day for a week, then up to 28 days, 1-2 times a day;
- children aged 7 to 12 years: 5-7 granules 5-6 times a day for one to two days until the relief of acute symptoms, then 5-7 granules 3-5 times a day for a week, then until 28 days, 1-2 times a day;
- children aged 5 to 7 years: 3-5 granules 5-6 times a day for one or two days until the relief of acute symptoms, then 3-5 granules 3-5 times a day for a week, then until 28 days, 1-2 times a day.
