8 effective folk remedies for peptic ulcer disease

The main role in the development of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer is played by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. With increased reproduction, the activity of these microorganisms leads to a weakening of the protection of the mucous membranes of the named organs of the gastrointestinal tract and their erosive damage. The manifestations of the disease seriously reduce the quality of life: patients regularly experience bouts of severe pain, heartburn, and nausea. Against this background, psychoemotional problems develop: ulcers, as a rule, show increased irritability, often suffer from sleep disturbances, sudden mood swings, increased fatigue, depression. The presence of a peptic ulcer requires a very noticeable correction of the lifestyle (introduction of dietary nutrition, reduction of habitual loads, etc.). It is dangerous to neglect such restrictions:violations of the regime multiply the risk of developing severe complications.

Most ulcers are forced to constantly take medications, but there are many effective folk recipes that help alleviate the painful condition or even completely recover. The most reliable of these means we bring to the attention of our readers.

Oatmeal jelly

Oats contain a lot of starchy substances, which, when cooking cereals, turn into a decoction, due to which its consistency becomes viscous, sticky. The drunk jelly envelops the walls of the stomach, creating a protective film that relieves irritation and reduces the acidity of gastric juice. As a result, jelly quickly relieves heartburn, eliminates belching and nausea.

To prepare homemade jelly, a glass of washed oats is poured with a liter of water, brought to a boil and cooked over low heat for half an hour. Then the boiled broth is brought to the same volume with boiling water, boiled for a few more minutes, cooled and filtered. Kissel should be drunk three times a day, half a glass half an hour before meals. The tool is extremely effective: within a day after the start of admission, pain attacks cease due to an exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease.

Potato juice, sea buckthorn and propolis

These funds are used in the well-known course therapy of peptic ulcer disease. Treatment consists of three stages:

To prepare one portion, two or three well-washed medium-sized tubers are rubbed on a fine grater along with the peel (the "eyes" must be cut out, since they contain a lot of solanine). The resulting gruel is squeezed through cheesecloth. The juice should be drunk immediately after preparation, it cannot be stored. The greatest amount of substances useful for the stomach can be obtained from potato varieties, which have red tubers. Their juice, rich in biologically active components, has an anti-inflammatory and enveloping effect, optimizes the acidity of the stomach contents. The treatment lasts a week.
  2. Therapy with propolis tincture. A heaping teaspoon of "bee glue" crushed into powder is infused for a week in 100 ml of medical alcohol, and then filtered. Take the drug three times a day one hour after eating, diluting 25 drops of tincture in a glass of water. Propolis successfully relieves inflammation and promotes rapid healing of ulcerated areas of the mucous membrane. The stage lasts three weeks.
  3. Taking sea buckthorn oil a teaspoon three times a day for a month. You can independently make a healing agent from sea buckthorn seeds or use a pharmacy preparation. Sea buckthorn oil has a powerful healing effect. Its effect completes the process of scarring of ulcerated areas of the stomach wall.
