Release form and composition
The drug is available in the form of an ointment for external use: a thick mass of white or white with a yellow tint, has a specific smell (15, 20, 25, 40 g in dark glass jars, 1 jar in a cardboard box; 25 g in bottles, in a cardboard box 1 bottle; 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 g in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube; each pack also contains instructions for using Gevkamen).
100 g of ointment contains:
- active ingredients: eucalyptus oil - 10 g, L-menthol (levomenthol) - 18 g, racemic camphor - 10 g;
- auxiliary components: petroleum paraffin, solid grade P-1, clove oil, petroleum jelly.

Gevkamen is a combined herbal preparation for external use. It has a local irritant (distracting) and mild analgesic effect. The mechanism of action is due to the properties of the active components, their ability to cause reflex reactions associated with irritation of sensitive nerve endings of the skin and subcutaneous formations.
Indications for use
The use of Gavkamen is indicated in the treatment of neuralgia, arthralgia, myositis, myalgia as an irritating and anesthetic external agent.
Contraindications
- dermatological diseases;
- violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of the intended application of the ointment;
- age up to 12 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the ointment.
The drug should be used with caution and only as directed by a doctor during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Gevkamen, instructions for use: method and dosage
Ointment Gavkamen is applied externally by applying a small (sufficient) amount to the skin of the problematic area of the body and rubbing it lightly with massage movements.
Recommended frequency of procedures: 2-3 times a day. Self-treatment can be continued for 14 days, then you should consult a doctor.
Side effects
Rubbing the ointment into the skin of the body is accompanied by a slight tingling sensation, burning and / or cold sensation.

Overdose
