Anamnesis

Anamnesis (anamnesis; Greek anamnesis - memory) - a set of data obtained during a medical examination by interviewing the patient and / or people who know him.

There are the following types of anamnesis:

  • Obstetric (obstetrica) - a part of the history devoted to the reproductive (generative) function of a woman (the number of pregnancies, abortions and childbirth, the nature of complications and features of their course, the nature of menstruation);
  • Allergological (allergologica) - information about the manifestations of allergic diseases in the subject, his relatives, as well as about possible contact with allergens;
  • Diseases (morbi) - data on the occurrence and course of a given disease and the effectiveness of previous therapy;
  • Life (vitae) - information about the physical, mental and social development of the subject;
  • Hereditary (hereditaria) - a part of the family history, devoted to the diseases of parents and other blood relatives;
  • Professional (professionalis) - data on the nature and working conditions of the patient, for example, on the presence of occupational hazards;
  • Psychiatric (psychiatrica) - data on the characteristics of mental development, personality, heredity, training and professional activity of the subject, the range of his attractions and interests, family relationships;
  • Family (familiaris) - a part of the history of life, which is devoted to the composition of the patient's family, the psychological situation in it, diseases of close relatives, etc.;
  • Social - part of the life history, including living conditions, social activity and social status of the patient;
  • Sports - anamnesis collected from athletes, which concerns their physical development, physical fitness, training regimen and methodology, dynamics of sports results, tolerance of training loads;
  • Pharmacological - a part of the anamnesis of the disease, devoted to the methods of application, doses, side and therapeutic effects of previously used drugs, as well as data on drug intolerance;
  • Epidemiological - anamnesis collected in case of infectious diseases to establish a possible source of infection and transmission routes of its pathogen.
