Artelak Splash is a preparation for moisturizing the eyes.
Release form and composition
Artelak Splash is available in the form of a moisturizing ophthalmic solution (10 ml in plastic bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
1 ml of solution contains:
- active substance: sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) - 2.4 mg;
- auxiliary components: disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, potassium chloride, water for injection.
Pharmacological properties
Artelak Splash contains a natural moisturizing agent - hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), which has a high ability to bind to water.
The lacrimal fluid, composed of three layers, supplies the surface of the eye with nutrients. By forming a protective lubricating barrier between the cornea and the eyelid, the solution provides the eye with normal functioning and clear vision.
The distribution of the natural tear film over the surface of the eye occurs with each blink. This protects the cornea from drying out and promotes epithelialization of the lesions on its surface.
An imbalance in the tear film causes a feeling of dryness, fatigue, burning, the presence of a foreign body in the eye, redness and irritation of the eyes, and sometimes lacrimation.
Application of the solution provides sufficient hydration to the eyes for an extended period, helping to stabilize the tear film and maintain a healthy eye surface.
The solution does not contain preservatives.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Artelak Splash is indicated for intensive and prolonged hydration of the cornea and conjunctiva, if dryness of the anterior surface of the eye has arisen for the following reasons:
