Anti-angina Formula is an antiseptic preparation for the treatment of oral inflammation.
Release form and composition
- lozenges (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 lozenges in a blister, 1–5, 10 or 15 blisters in a carton box);
- lozenges: from pale pink to reddish-pink color, flat, with a beveled edge, have a specific smell and NP engraving on a wood background on both sides of the tablet (in blisters of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 pcs., 1–5, 10 or 15 blisters in a carton pack);
- dosed spray for topical use: colorless liquid with a mint odor (25 ml each in plastic bottles with a dosing valve).
Active ingredients in 1 lozenge and 1 tablet:
- chlorhexidine diacetate - 2 mg;
- tetracaine hydrochloride - 0.2 mg;
- ascorbic acid - 50 mg.
Active ingredients in 1 spray dose:
- chlorhexidine bigluconate - 0.24 mg (in the form of a 20% solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate - 1.2 mg);
- tetracaine hydrochloride - 0.12 mg.
Excipients of lozenges: dextrose syrup, mint flavor, natural oils flavor, sucrose, carmine red dye, purified water.
Excipients of tablets: saccharin, silicon dioxide, anise and mint flavors, levomenthol, sorbitol, magnesium stearate, azorubin dye.
Spray excipients: ethanol 96%, mint flavor, anhydrous citric acid, glycerol 85%, aspartame, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
Indications for use
Anti-Angin Formula is used to treat and prevent the following diseases:
- tonsillitis;
- pharyngitis;
- stomatitis;
- gingivitis;
- periodontal disease.
Also, the drug can be used after trauma to the oral mucosa and tooth extraction.
Contraindications
The use of Anti-Angin Formula in the form of lozenges and tablets is contraindicated in children under 5 years of age, pregnant women in the first trimester and patients with hypersensitivity to the drug components.
The spray should not be used under the age of 10, as well as for phenylketonuria, damage and inflammation of the mucous membranes in highly vascularized areas and with hypersensitivity.
With caution, women should use the remedy in the II and III trimesters of pregnancy and during lactation, as well as patients with diabetes.
Method of administration and dosage
Tablets and lozenges of the Anti-Angin Formula are kept in the mouth until completely absorbed.
Recommended dosage:
- adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: 6 tablets or lozenges per day (with a break of 2 hours);
- children 5–10 years old: 3 tablets or lozenges per day (with a break of 4 hours);
- children 10–15 years old: 4 tablets or lozenges (with a break of 3 hours).
The spray should be sprayed on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat.
Recommended dosage:
- adults and children from 15 years old: 1-2 sprays up to 6 times a day;
- children 10-15 years old: 1-2 sprays up to 3 times a day.
The course of treatment with any form of drug lasts about 5 days.
Side effects
The use of Anti-Angin Formula in most cases does not cause negative side effects, only with individual intolerance an allergic reaction may develop, requiring the withdrawal of the drug.
In rare cases, when using the drug, dyspeptic disorders develop: flatulence, heartburn, belching, nausea, impaired appetite, constipation, frequent loose stools.

For patients with diabetes mellitus, it is important to take into account that 1 lozenge contains 1.4 g of sucrose (0.12 XE).
Important information: 1 spray dose contains 83 mg of absolute ethanol.
It is undesirable to use the drug for more than 5 days in order to avoid the development of violations of the normal microflora of the oral cavity and pharynx.
Taking the drug does not affect activities that require quick reactions and increased attention.
Taking the drug can affect the results of doping control.
Avoid contact with the spray on the mucous membranes of the eyes and in the respiratory tract.
If after three days of treatment the symptoms of the disease do not decrease or there is a worsening of the condition, it is necessary to consult a doctor and decide whether to continue using the drug.
Drug interactions
Chlorhexidine is incompatible with saponins, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate and other detergents containing an anionic group.
Should not be taken concomitantly with iodine preparations.
Tetracaine reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfa drugs.
The toxicity of tetracaine decreases, and its effect lengthens with the simultaneous administration of vasoconstrictors.
Ascorbic acid increases the concentration in the blood of tetracyclines and benzylpenicillin, reduces - oral contraceptives. Also, taking ascorbic acid negatively affects the effectiveness of indirect coagulants and heparin.
When taken simultaneously with ASA, the risk of developing crystalluria increases against the background of treatment with short-acting sulfonamides and salicylates.
Ethanol enhances the effect of the drug.
