Anestezol is a complex antihemorrhoidal drug. There are four active substances in this preparation: benzocaine (100 mg), bismuth subgallate (40 mg), zinc oxide (20 mg) and menthol (4 mg) - per rectal suppository.
Anestezol has anti-inflammatory, local anesthetic and astringent properties. Reviews of Anestezole confirm that the drug relieves pain in patients with rectal fissures and hemorrhoids, and also significantly reduces the severity of the inflammatory process in these diseases. Doses of the drug and the optimal duration of treatment are determined by the attending physician, however, reviews of Anestezole indicate that for effective treatment, adults need only use 1 suppository once or twice a day. If treatment with this drug occurs for a sufficiently long time, in this case, the blood picture should be monitored due to the possible development of methemoglobinemia.
Side effects
This drug, as a rule, is well tolerated, however, in therapeutic practice and reviews of Anestezole, several cases of an adverse reaction of the body to its use have been recorded:

- allergic reactions in the form of itching, skin rash, urticaria.
Contraindications
