Amoxicar is an antibacterial drug from the penicillin group that suppresses staphylococci, streptococci, pathogens of gonorrhea, salmonellosis, meningitis, purulent sepsis, as well as E.coli, Shigella and Klebsiella.

Contraindications

Method of administration and dosage

Amoxicar is intended for oral administration.

Adults, children over 10 years old, as well as children whose body weight is more than 40 kg, are prescribed the drug 2 times a day, 500 mg or 3 times a day, 250 mg.

For the treatment of severe infections and respiratory tract infections, 875 mg of the drug is prescribed 2 times a day or 500 mg 3 times a day.

Amoxicar for children under 10 years of age is prescribed in the form of a suspension. You can use boiled water to prepare it. The dosage depends on age:

For children under 2 years of age, the drug is prescribed in 3 doses at a dose of 20 mg / kg / day. In case of severe infection in 3 doses, 40 mg / kg / day;
