Dr. Horvath's diet

The diet of the Czech nutritionist Dr. Horvat (its second name is “Czech Diet”) suggests that weight loss occurs by reducing the calorie intake and reducing portions. At the same time, great importance is attached to a balanced diet and its nutritional value.

Diet rules of Dr. Horvath:

  • there are three main meals a day and two additional (snacks) with approximately equal intervals of time between them;
  • you should strictly adhere to the menu, scheduled for each day of the diet, and observe the portion sizes (if the portion size is not specified, it can be anything - within reasonable limits);
  • heat treatment of dishes is carried out by dietary methods - boiling, stewing, steaming, frying without fat (grilling, dry frying pan) or baking in the oven;
  • if a breakdown occurs, the diet must be started from the first day;
  • you need to drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day.

The diet is designed for one to three weeks. If after the first week it is decided to extend the diet, the menu is repeated in the same order.
