Infertility
Infertility (sterilitas) is the inability of a mature organism to produce offspring.
Allocate:
- Female infertility (feminina) - the inability of a woman of reproductive age to conceive;
- Absolute female infertility (feminina absoluta) - the likelihood of pregnancy is completely excluded (absence of ovaries, extreme hypoplasia or absence of the uterus, deformity of the genitals, etc.);
- Primary female infertility (feminina primaria) - a woman living sexually without the use of contraception has never had a pregnancy;
- Secondary female infertility (feminina secundaria) - pregnancy does not occur for more than two years with regular sexual activity without the use of contraception, but there is information about one or more pregnancies in the anamnesis;
- Female endocrine infertility (feminina endocrinica) - resulting from dysfunction of the endocrine glands, leading to the development of anovulatory cycle;
- Male infertility (impotentia generandi) is the inability of a mature male body to produce fertilization (regardless of the possibility of sexual intercourse);
- Male secretory infertility (impotentia generandi secretoria) - caused by a disorder of spermatogenesis, for example. with diseases or anomalies in the development of the epididymis and testicles, disorders of endocrine regulation and metabolism;
- Male excretory infertility (impotentia generandi excretoria) is caused by a violation of sperm secretion, which occurs with disorders of the ejaculation process, developmental anomalies, trauma or inflammation of the vas deferens.
